in the military there is a phrase " don't anticipate the command" meaning wait till the full command is given before acting

as much as this will pain most subbies, I'd rather they do what I say and not what they may think I want

I will speak when I want something

the exception is the routine they have been taught, like preparing meals and getting my coffee

Amusingly, this is what has always been a complaint leveled against me with my relationships: that if I want something or someone's help, I'll ask for it, otherwise I get really irritated when significant others just throw crap at the wall trying to see what's sticky. I don't have a problem expressing wants and desires, so why try to guess what I'm not thinking?

I think that the small speech from Jareth, very near the end of the movie "Labyrinth" sums me up very well as a D-type.

I watched that movie recently. I remember really liking that line too...except for the last five words. The part that follows them does not, in my mind, negate those words. I would rather he have said, "Do as I say, and I will not hurt you too badly...well, probably."

I guess that's just a difference in styles. though. ;)

Not sure if I quite fall on the same page as everyone else who posted in reply to this, because I honest skipped over their posts.

However, what I want is a slave that gets off on pleasing me. If your willing to serve me, and are doing things for me willingly as I tell you to do them, there's nothing better than that. That's one of the things that makes it hard for some of us to find a slave/sub. We prefer to be served by someone willing to serve us, which means taking the time to get to know us first.
