Status: offline 		I know this isn't quite the same thing, but I thought it might still offer encouragement.  I do offer my sympathy as well.  Any failed relationship is painful.
 
I met my husband on-line at a RPG.  We've been married 4 years and are still quite committed.  While I'm not looking to interact sexually with anyone but him (I state this quite clearly in my profile.  I'm NOT here to break anyone's heart), we do need training.  Our situation is just weird (1 bedroom sub and 1 who's interested in service and obedience) and if we want to do much, we'll both need to learn how to Switch.  Most folks are looking for subs that will belong to them.  We're looking for a Dom/Domme who is willing to be compassionate enough to offer help to two people who are trying to explore in a non-typical way.
 
But I digress.  On-line relationships can work out, but it's a rare thing.  So I guess I'm offering encouragement, but also advising caution.  I'm sure you've learned that by now anyway.  Best of luck!

Deltafire,
I know where you're coming from, I've started relationships with a few slaves with the understanding that they'd visit several times & eventually they'd relocate... Then come the excuses, reassurances yes this is real to me and Etc Etc but not right now... Finally it comes out "oh I can't leave here I'm too rooted... Why the fuck not say so up front, are they so desperate for a Dom/mes attn. that they have to resort to playing online games???
I've learned from being crashed a few times to believe nothing from online as there are mostly posers, players & wannabes...
I think W/e all have to get tougher skins...

I've met more than my share of fakes on this site.  I find it hard to find persons to help me grow and learn as a domme/cuckoldress simply because there are so many fakes on here.  All they want is some wild kinky sex and that is all.  It's frustrating and gets old fast.  I'd punch a wall too....shit's infuriating.

We're all real, but some just don't want the things others do, so they are posers/wankers/players/wannabes/gamers/HNG and a few other names I can't quite remember... I honestly wonder how often any of this online angst is ever found face to face... personally, everyone is disposable to me, simply because I existed before I knew they did, so I know I will after I boot them out of my life...

Just remember... online ends when the computer is turned off...

I have been pushed to the breaking point, and it does take tremendous strength. There must be some release - either by bicyling, yoga, kickboxing, or smashing a Coke bottle (heh, safely away from everyone and everything). Most that are just online are players.

Status: offline 		Even at munches and such, with everything being face to face, you can be deceived.   My ex waited 2 years before he tried to hit me one night, and that was only because I was hot and got up to get water. He started ranting, raving, and finally punched his fist through a large glass mirror.   To everyone else outside, he was a perfectly sweet and gentle man, until you pissed him off, then he had no control.
