Das Kapital is quite lengthy but I know of no list of communist tenets in it. There is a list of 10 demands in the Communist Manifesto but I know of no non communist who supports even a majority of the 10.

About 30% of Democrats furthest to the left believe in communist tenets, and the rest are socialists, so its only a matter of style.

Brilliant stuff, Willbeur - keep it up! [:D]

Glad you agree. You must, since you didn't say a fucking thing in response.

Given you've ignored at least one post asking you to provide some substantiation for your statement, maybe he feels it'd be a waste of time bothering.

That depends entirely on how the list is presented, Ken. You just need the ability to sell it.

Meanwhile, here's a nice little primer on Communism I came across.

What are these "communist tenets" in which you purport a segment of Democrats believe?  Can you provide examples?

Read Das Kapital,....

Okay, done.  [:D]  Couldn't find any "communist tenets" in it.  Also, no mention of Democrats, the Democratic Party, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, or Barack Obama either.  Still awaiting examples of "communist tenets" allegedly adhered to by "30% of Democrats furthest to the left."

Perhaps you meant communist "tenants?"  I'm sure there were some in the Das Kapital apartment block in Soviet era Russia.

(Also, I can't believe we're back to red baiting in this country (US). )

[Edited to fix quoting.]

Perhaps you need to start with a dictionary and learn what a tenet is.

tenet pronounced ten-et: noun and adjective
1. a kind of fishnet stocking with fewer holes in it than one of willbeurdaddy's arguments. origin: obscure

Even those who've pointed out that the above manifesto is not included in Das Kapital, as you claimed earlier in the thread?
If you're going to complain about people lying, it behooves you to make an attempt to talk your way out of that embarrassment first of all...

Other than SOME of 2 and SOME of 10

graduated income tax.
free public school.

none of this is even close to democratic thought whatsoever.......once again the itinerant insurance peddler has proven himself to be an incompetent, ignorant and illogical liar.

None of it in Das Kapital, none of it a tenet of democracy.  It is not at all a surprise to anyone that these imbiciles are led around by having their tounges buried up other loquacious imbiciles asses.

There is a reason that the newt gingrich asswipe floating around at present includes a sentence containing:

'left wing intellectual'

you will never see that word intellectual used in a sentence with neocons or nutsuckers, because it is an oxymoron.

these are the people who came out of the 'know nothing party' and they are determined to keep on 'knowing nothing'.

And just for shits and giggles on number 1 there, wasn't it Teddy Roosevelt who created the national park system?  Furthermore, wasn't he the guy who started the trust busting of big business?

And wasnt it under W and a republican congress that the recording of phonecalls for the government came into being?

Looks like wilbur needs to read up on that stuff, he doesn't know what he is talking about.

From the communist Manifesto not Das Kapital and it isn't tenets of Communism it is a list of demands. Only 2 and part of 10 are common beliefs of Democrats.

Moonhead -> RE: Tucson and the Media (1/22/2011 7:50:03 AM)

So only 20% of what Wilbur claimed was believed by 30% of democrats is true, then?

He's still yet to provide a source for that 30% figure of his as well, hasn't he?

mnottertail -> RE: Tucson and the Media (1/22/2011 7:53:18 AM)

No, it wouldn't be 20%, closer to 10% because only half of each is near democratic thought.

90% of it appears to be neo-con, nutsucker, asslicking rush, wilbur thought.

Moonhead -> RE: Tucson and the Media (1/22/2011 7:56:10 AM)

I suspect any Democrat who consistently campaigned for universal graduated taxation would get deselected by his constituents (or shot) pretty quickly...

mnottertail -> RE: Tucson and the Media (1/22/2011 8:05:02 AM)

Actually, our real first income tax (which was graduated) was established in 1862 by a congress (both houses) who's makeup was decidedly republican.  (I guess they read Das Kapital and the Marxist tenets enscribed therein, ya think?)

Maybe wilbur read up on that and thats what hes talking about, but seems a little confused on who did what to who, and who believes what.
