I suppose it's a matter of which matters one chooses as the poll's focus.

Only 18 Percent Favor Repealing Health Care Law Entirely

the GOP plan remains unpopular with the American people

Your absolutely right it matters what exactly is asked. The exact same poll you linked says this

"On balance this poll, produced for ABC News by Langer Research Associates, finds that 50 percent of Americans oppose the health care reform law overall"

The difference in the poll is that it goes on to ask what the GOP should do now that it is in power in the house. Lots of people responded that they should move on from health care. It does not say they those people support health care.

Yes it does, and I'll repeat, it says...

"On balance this poll, produced for ABC News by Langer Research Associates, finds that 50 percent of Americans oppose the health care reform law overall"

Again, once people are asked about individual provisions, they suddenly like those.

Day by day, the strangeness of the new recedes, and the realization of what it provides sinks in, favorably.

Either way, the Republican claim that Americans sent them to Washington to repeal health care in favor of Republican plans is crap, and they know it.

That's why they aren't proposing anything.

And just 18 percent favor repealing it entirely, as the Republican leadership in Congress seeks to do.

Once people take a serious look at what the bill actually does, the wanting to remove it drops drastically. Instead, people want to have more of the provisions. Some would like things to be better, then the law states. While the ACA is not Obama's original draft, it is a good start at handling a very complicated issue effecting 308 million plus Americans. For $89 billion/year, that is some good money being well spent for Americans. We were able to take 30 million Americans who work, but have pre-existing conditions, and allow them to see the medical community once more without stupid hurdles. It helps people treat conditions that would otherwise be life to improvised care (aka trips to the ER).

If one gets past the conservative misinformation machine, and actually reads the document (which is your responibility as a US Citizen!), they will find, exactly what the bill does. If you have questions, you should contact your representative for clarifications.
