I have gotten a penis pretty deep down my throat without gagging and still breathing, licking and sucking.  I enjoy the act of deepthroating. Its a bit easier for me because I have been a singer since I was 5 and I have had 3 throat surgeries. The best advice I can give is to breathe through your nose, tighten up your core muscles and keep practicing. Practice makes perfect ! :)

My dentist has to use those kiddy size thangs on my mouth and exclaimed that I have a small mouth.

I agree with OSF and SexyRed1... Have him grab a handful of hair and force the issue.  Something I have found that works very well when teaching a sub to deep throat a strap-on, is to have them kneel with their back against the wall, place my legs one on each side of their body, grab a fist full of hair, force the strap-on down their throat and hold them there.  Personally I enjoy watching them gag and struggle to do anything to get away from it.  Generally, if you talk to them calmly, remind them to breathe through their nose, and just let them get used to it for a few minutes, they start to get the hang of it.  If not... simply rinse and repeat.  :-)

1) Relax
2) Blow your nose first, so that you can breathe through it clearly.
3) Establish a good breathing and sucking pattern, this takes practice.
4) Try unconventional positions, like on your back on a table with your head heading down.  Personally, it works best for me when I'm on my back and he's on top of me, controling the force and speed.
5) When all else fails, he can force it.  Or just try force first, like my Alpha did.  I gag and choke like crazy sometimes, but that's half the fun for him.
