I had planned to keep updating this tread until gas hits about $5 a gallon, in the United States. I realize gas is already expensive in Europe, and many in other countries. I did not think I would be updating so soon. According to the latest business reports {yesterday} 1/28/2011, the price of oil has gone up, benchmark oil rose $3.70, or 4.3 percent, to settle at $89.34 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. http://www.oilprices.com/ In fact the prices went up $2 a barrel in about half an hour around noon yesterday, after the White House speech. As most of us continue to watch the unrest in the Middle East, if it continues and certainly if it spreads, we will need to open up our wallets. $5 a gallon gas might be here faster than many realize.
