"American" has its own taste now?

Actually, yes it does and it's not very good. I was in Mexico over the weekend and stopped in a convenience store and grabbed a Coke and a KitKat. You know what - the Coke was delicious. It tasted like Coke used to taste when I was a kid ... and the chocolate in the KitKat was incredible. Of course, those "junk food" items used real sugar, whole milk and, basically, better ingredients than the American versions.

It's kind of a sad deal when you come home to your nation, where these items were invented, and recognize that here they taste like crap.

I had planned to keep updating this tread until gas hits about $5 a gallon, in the United States.
I realize gas is already expensive in Europe, and many in other countries.

I did not think I would be updating so soon.

According to the latest business reports {yesterday} 1/28/2011, the price of oil has gone up, benchmark oil rose $3.70, or 4.3 percent, to settle at $89.34 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

In fact the prices went up $2 a barrel in about half an hour around noon yesterday, after the White House speech.

As most of us continue to watch the unrest in the Middle East, if it continues and certainly if it spreads, we will need to open up our wallets.

$5 a gallon gas might be here faster than many realize.
