i see submissives/slaves falling into 3 major types, there may be more 1 taken in hand where they want a father figure/disciplinarian but not a lot of wild kink 2 the maso that enjoys what is done to her or made to do but is not service inclined 3 the one needing minute control and is willing to do and endure anything for that level of control, she needs strict structure/rules am I missing any?

4, all of the above. I need strict control, a good amount of play (but not a ton of pain, I'm not really a masochist), and someone who treats me like a pet and spoils me a bit.

5. service oriented ones who aren't really masochists but play because it's a way to serve 6. those motivated by love, and those who aren't as for myself, i'm a "point between" several of those. a service oriented, masochistic, slave-leaning slutty girl who is fond of control, brute strength, creativity and love. and a rational, realistic viewpoint on the lifestyle. =p lawlz.

I think so. I don't need a daddy or someone to write a schedule for me. I want a fucking alpha-type who can keep up with me, who's stronger than I am and not afraid to knock me on my ass to show it. I'm competent and opinionated and pretty damn mouthy, but after a while I just feel lost without someone in the lead. Does that make me a mix of all three too? I dunno.

Definitely a mix of all of those. :) Everybody else has explained it in ways that I agree with, so I'm not going to talk a whole lot about it since my point of view matches the ones before me. :)

How about the ones who love to feel needed? They love to do things for others. They like to make another's life easier or better in some way.

When I look at each type I wonder who has more control, the D/M or the s/s. Each type you describe is in great contrast with what you want, as per your sigline: i want a woman to make into the woman she never wanted to become Would such a woman be a slave? Or is there some other term?

I am a lot like you but i am also driven by LOVE. my Dom was my best friend for many years. We dated before he was into the lifestyle, and now we are back together and he is teaching me the ropes. I serve him because I love him and because it pleases me to serve him. I like feeling needed. I feel like it gives me a purpose.

What about the masochist, who needs structure and control, is not submissive, yet is willing to submit unconditionally to the right kind of person...and not because the masochist is getting what 'they' want...but because they truly want to give their partner everything within them?

I cannot speak for the female side of subs/slave but from the male side those 3 do not cover me. I would classify me as service oriented. A bondage freak with a bit of a masochistic streak. Someone who adores TPE. I am very dominant outside of my submission to a Domme. subs/slaves comes in all varieties and flavors. To try and stereo type one is just silly.

In the years here..I also noticed there is a type of sub/slave..that does need attention ( they feel very lonely and are desperate for a partner)...and serve you in return. But even then..they are all unique.
