ORIGINAL: VaguelyCurious It's a basic logic thing, and he had a valid point. Heh . . . Well, that was odd. Bit of deja vu. Hon, it really isn't worth the bother. TD knows what my point was, because I've explained it to him three times. He's just being obtuse. His rhetorical device is the 'tantamount' trick . . . as used in pisspoor essays I've seen so many times. This goes, 'Accusing someone of A automatically implies accusing him of B and C, too!". In this case, he's adapted it to Godwin's Law. That is, he's trying - by saying it, over and again - to make out that I've accused him of something the equivalent of a homophobic goose-stepping Nazi loon. I long ago ran out of different ways of saying, 'the attitude, and the end result, are not the same thing, and you can dislike the attitude entirely separately from the result'. There would be no point in saying that again, anyway, because he would simply choose not to see it. TD: You came here to stir things up, but you just overdid it, that's all. Take it easy.
