I think a lot of us should meet each other, given the chance.

Rare, yes.  Gems, yes.  Still, I think of her every time someone mentions the third person thing.  Beauty and grace in the third person, beyond doubt.

Fabulous pics.  No doubt.  There was one not so long ago that was this wonderful shot with her hair waving in the wind.  Really nice shot.

I think a lot of folks on the net would gain a benefit from meeting other folks that bounce around here.  There are certain elements missing in the electronic venue.  Nothing that a welcome with open arms for an embrace in the real world doesn't fix.

I agree..

there are quite a few I'd love to spend faec time with (you are #1!!)

but even  those who are not as well known or admired as you should figure out a way to spend face time with folks either from the boards or their local munches.

There is rarely a substitution for face meetings..  

and I'll quit now, because the cold meds are kicking my ass so i am not confident that what I just said makes the kind of sense it did in my brain..LOL

How can I put this without sounding like I'm having a pop at TD?

A few people can express themselves in the 3rd person without sounding a complete cock.

Most can't.

It is left as an exercise for the reader to determine which of the 2 categories the current poster falls into* :)

*no offence intended TD, genuinely, but you sound like a like a 24 carat plonker when you do it. It's not even the 3rd person, it's the self-referencing thing.

On the whole, it was a regrettable position to take (VC was correct, the syntax really did make the question into a position) and I am left rather embarrassed by the fact that I inadvertently insulted some quite lovely people in the process of trying to stir a discussion. I can't promise to never step in it again but I can promise that if I do I will eventually see the error of my ways and do what is possible to set right what went wrong."

Again, I look forward to getting to know all of you much better. So many of you have so much to offer. <3

You have painted yourself into a color that is unbecoming. Sure you can delete and start over so you no longer have to own this lackadaisical "red flag" attitude for this community to see, and perhaps actually find what you are looking for. However, the nature of the beast is the nature of the beast. Perpetuating this profile, allowing yourself to be seen amongst your (for lack of a better word) peers, would be a humane action so that anyone, remotely, interested in becoming a part of your life will be well informed of what he/she is getting into. Could anyone feel safe, secure or defended by you? Doubtful, you are for you and you alone. Whatever your dynamic, providing you maintain this account, allows anyone getting involved with you to understand, beyond all doubt, that they are fodder that you can and will throw away, slough off or throw to the wolves if needs be. You have clearly stated that the only substance you have to contribute to a dynamic is strictly self serving, selfish and uncaring.
