I think we should have pony reform- and every kid should have a pony... pass the pony omnibus act- then all will have ponies-   even tho all will be REQUIRED to buy a pony-- and failure to buy a pony will mean fines by the IRS.

26 states are parties to the lawsuits against this.
It's dead.

It's theater.

Next act, standing.

Standing?

Next obfuscation, it's Bush fault.

Obfuscation? Read a newspaper. A real one.

It's the next legal step being pursued in response.

Nor is this a surprise--it's exactly the theater laid out last year, simply being played out.

No one (but the panting right) expects this gambit to work.

Theater.

But standing is exactly the challenge. Join the real world. We have fun.

psst...you misspelled Obama in your thread title.

psst...his last known legal surname is Soetoro.

I might have winced at the misspelling of "Obama", but if the OP was actually trying to spell "Soetoro" in the thread title he gets some extra special gold stars.

And if the government mandate on Health insurance is unconstitutional, then the requirement to own car insurance falls under the same ruling.

What a disingenuous canard. Owning a car is an activity voluntary to a degree not commonly associated with just living.

Remember, if this stand they can force you to buy asparagus. And Chevies. At times of their chosing.

The whole auto insurance thing is moot anyway..that is state law, not Federal, and states can do anything they want unless preempted.

Missing the point again. The states Require by law that its citizens have Auto Insurance.....No different than a federal mandate to do the same thing with health care.

No, you dont have a fucking clue about the structure of the US. The CONSTITUTION delineates the powers of the Federal Government. If it isnt specified in the CONSTITUTION the Federal Government has no standing to legislate a fucking thing.

The STATES can impose any law that they want as long as there is no valid PRE-EMPTION under Federal Law.

There is nothing in the Constitution that gives the Federal government the power to regulate driving. Therefore the States are free to do whatever they want.

Take a fucking civics course for gods sake.

Ohhh, I guess a better connect the dots for you numbnuts. There is nothing in the Constitution that permits the Federal government to mandate that health insurance be purchased. STATE auto insurance, STATE health insurance mandates are constitutional. FEDERAL mandates for either ARE NOT.

pssst... you have no idea what you are talking about.

To shortcut your next claim, please present his legal name change or his adoption by Soetoro.

Well that's true--turning the largest creditor nation in the world into the largest debtor nation in the world in just eight years took some doing.

Too bad the US hasnt been a creditor nation since 1985.

Which of course, is exactly what I was saying--Reagan turned the largest creditor nation in the world into the largest debtor nation.

Again, it does.

Reagan kissed the creditor days goodbye forever.

Rejoice, ye faux conservatives.

Too bad the US hasnt been a creditor nation since 1984. But why ruin a good liberal sound bite with facts.

Are you 3? FDIC is a FEDERAL INSURANCE PROGRAM Administered to banks in the STATES! It is not a CHOICE, it is a REQUIREMENT to do business. FEDERAL INSURANCE,,,,,on Individuals and Corporations. The precedence has been set. Get over it.

As for Auto Insurance,,,,,,see if you can follow. I was inferring that the state was taking the role as the Federeal Gov't in applying that to its citizens. No where did I say it was legal or illegal. Compare/Contrast........Did  you finish first grade? The law can and most likely would be administerd in fashion to Medicare/Medicaid which are STATE RUN!

You catching on yet? Try reading and comprehension before hitting the reply button bubba

Try twisting yourself into a pretzel over what you claimed re auto insurance and were proven wrong.

FDIC is constitutional under the commerce clause. There are many federally mandated programs are administered by states.

Get thee to that civics class, shitforbrains.

Mirror mirror. I pointed out the obvious to you and you go into contortions to dispute it.

Federal law - constitution
State law - not preempted by Federal law, eg auto insurance.

Its that simple and no matter how many pages of utter gibberish you write it doesnt change the fact that this is how responsibility for legislation is allocated.

Are you just %100 mistaken, or deliberately just making shit up?

The time to challenge standing is before discovery.
That ship has sailed.
