Two big caveats:

I never agreed with invading Iraq or Afghanistan
Islam isn't the culprit, it's zealotry and a perversion of Islam that creates terrorists.

I think there is a term the Irish use for that, but I can't remember it offhand. I'd have to look it up.

I'm recalling that episode of West Wing where someone says that the "Christian" equivalent of Islamist extremists is the KKK, and how they aren't any more pleasant or moral, just far worse at organisation :)

Status: offline 		You know something no one has mentioned. The fact someone wished a Muslim a happy new year on the wrong day. If someone had called and blown me sky high, I would have been on to my phone provider first thing the next day and demanded a refund, dammit.

The term I'd seen used was "the curse of Cromwell"*, but I'm not sure that's the invasion and occupation as a whole.

*(Which sounds more like a Doctor Who story than anything else...)
