Leftist hypocrisy against blacks was popeyes main point, but I guess you missed that somehow. And yes, such things may very well make you a leftist.

popeye is right to be pissed off against the entire leftist agenda, its hard to miss seeing how there are a whole lot of moderates being pushed to the right of late.

Oh right I get it. Sorry it's totally late here.

I think most progressives voted for Obama because they didn't want to continue along those lines and actually believed a junior Senator with no executive experience would change the world.

I think most of those people are very disappointed in Obama and mostly stick with him because the other party is so vehemently anti-socialist and most progressives have fairly socialist tendencies (increasing spending in public schools, public healthcare, community-building programs, etc) so they'd rather go with the guy who fails at being a progressive than the guy who actively works against it.

Well I can say I'm the opposite, I voted for McCain in 08 (no lie, I probably posted about it on these forums somewhere) and I've become quite disillusioned with the direction it's taken since then.

Because progressivism is a mixture of social democracy and capitalism. They are neither liberals nor socialists, but the product of the two with a healthy dose of green tossed in.

He won the first election by promising what he did. If he is doing this solely to try to win re-election and not because he's simply unable to deliver on his promises and because his experience has been as a Senator (compromiser/collaborator) and not as an executive (leader/decision maker) he is seriously misguided.

Sanity, I don't have sound on my computer, so I didn't even click the link.  I have no idea what it contains, but anyone can post on YouTube.  If Limbaugh/Beck/Palin/Olbermann/Maddow comment, they have solid constituencies and are known to speak for people.  Not to mention that they have media empires who are invested with them.  They have valid claims to some sort of legitimacy.

I'm not attacking the messenger as much as saying that anyone posting on YouTube does not need to have a single person agree with him or her.  I give the expressed opinion no weight because of that.

Status: offline 		Yeah, I'm not a fan of Obama. He hasn't done much to earn my vote, if I do vote for him it will be because I caved in and went for the "lesser of two evils" option, which is something I really don't want to do.
