One would think the hardcore right would be yelling "go protestors GO" I mean, they (the protestors) torched the Al Jezeera offices and expelled them (that gets em points in My book). They are FOR Democracy. The military which is protecting them from Mubarak's thugs is Pro US.

The form of a government means little when it comes to the policies of a given nation. It has always been and will always be the majority thinking, right or wrong, of the people.

If the thinking is progressive then the policies will reflect this thinking. If there is apathy or group weakness and cowardice then they will be taken advantage of by individuals of strength.

There is nothing wrong with supporting a dictator and not a democracy depending on the majority thinking of it’s people and its compatibility with our views.

When the thinking of the people change then we will need to reevaluate our thinking and adjust our policies accordingly.

Remember there can be a democracy where the views of the people are not compatible with ours and there can be a dictatorship where the views are.

Because my cut and paste was from a gun violence site, not a left or right only mouthpiece, but a gun violence report, which uses boths sides of the aisle to point out the Violence of GUNS
not repubs or lefties but ALLLLLLLL gun violence reported in the past 3 months...

Guys, seriously... Mubarak is a dictator who's been rigging elections to keep himself in power for the last 30 years. Leave it to the Tea Party set to have such little respect (or for that matter, understanding ) of the fundamental tenets of democracy...
