Maybe it dosen't matter what vanillas think.I still think it would be nice to see the S&M community more openly acceptable in mainstream society. If someone wants to "stick it to the man" and not care, thats cool.Still,it can't hurt.

My thoughts are simple here. So I'll ask  you the question Charles, who is it that jumps the gun and points the finger and raises a witch hunt against anything the SM folk do because of their ignorance which BTW, is due often enough by their refusal to want to learn about us. People such as Rihanna potentially, and I repeat POTENTIALLY can do a great deal of damage to any group of folks who are not mainstream, white Angelo-Saxon Christians. Because people like this slut play on people's fantasies and there are enough silly folk who will say if she is doing this, it must be correct.

I watched the Emmyies and was disgusted in the whore, hip grinding and pelvic thrusts on stage. It was jolly well pornographic.

I am a little tired of people in the music industry who capitalize on BDSM without really understanding it.

To them, it's just another way of selling music.

I agree with you here. The problem is they just don't do the research and will not spend the money to do so or to employ someone in the “scene” to assist in the film clip production. I'm pretty sure that a good number of regulars on these boards could, if offered the financial encouragement, design a spectacular clip depicting some very erotic BDSM shots done properly it could indeed become a very good PR and educational tool.

I would gladly "work" on...excuse me... with Christina Aguilera. [sm=crop.gif]

I rarely listen to Rhianna or any of that genre of music. The video was comical at best but maybe thats what the world needs to see I don't know. We take ourselves so seriously sometimes that we forget to have fun or even laugh at an off kilter remark. I think it would take a lot more than just this piece of artistry for people to get educated and accept the lifestyle.

I suspect IronBear fancies the pants off Rihanna really calling her all those pet names... charming

Charles6682 -> RE: Rihanna - S&M (3/3/2011 12:42:46 PM)

I didn't really listen to many Rihanna songs until her video "S&M" came out.The more I read about her,the more I am impressed with her.I love her song S&M and the video that goes with it.I don't care what anyone says about that video. She actually looked pretty good in that video and she does have a natural talent in singing. Some of her other videos also reference herself to variety of BDSM themes.I wonder if this is something she does in her personal life as well,or if this is just for entertainment.Either way, whethere she realizes it or not,her and Lady Gaga are really bringing BDSM to the mainstream.I think this is good.I can say I have become a fan of Rihanna.

Wow... uhm... Okay, pretty cool song, and the video is uh... well...
See, I'm just thinking that it wasn't that damned long ago when the world was in a HUGE uproar because *GASP* Michael Jackson grabbed his crotch in a video! :O
I think this is a tad beyond that.
I think I kind of dig it though.

Rihanna goes on sex shop spree

Rihanna went on a sex store shopping spree in Australia yesterday (03.03.11).The singer - whose explicit video for new track 'S&M' has been banned in 11 countries - was spotted stocking up on erotic items in Sydney's notorious adult shop The Tool Shed. Her assistant was seen leaving the store with two black bags full of mystery purchases, a spokesman for the shop confirmed they had to ensure no other customers were present so Rihanna had a free reign to choose her X-rated products.
He added: "I can't say what Rihanna did or what she bought - it's top secret."The 23-year-old pop beauty is in Australia as part of her 'Last Girl On Earth' tour and is rumoured to be performing at Sydney's gay and lesbian Mardi Gras festival tomorrow (05.03.11).
Rihanna - who is famous for her flesh-flashing stage outfits and revealing fashion choices - recently claimed girls who attack her for her provocative look are "hypocrites".She explained: "People think I'm overly sexy. It bothers them for some reason. Girls don't like to see other girls dressed sexy. It's a little intimidating, I don't mean that in a cocky way. There's always going to be somebody not liking what you do.
"People have a lot of crazy opinions on things. Things I say, things I wear, places I go. It's just stupid. It's bulls**t. I'm a young human being. It's fine for me to go to a club."People are hypocrites. They can't wait to say something horrible. Most of them are unhappy with themselves. It's women who are mad at other women. They should take a look at their own lives. A lot of people don't have the guts to confront themselves."(C) BANG Media International
