A couple, Hill. I think that folks would surprise themselves how many people they knew in common, or as some folks put it, 'know each other once removed'. There are a few leather folks up that way that I've known for years.

Hey OP- Can't believe you didn't have any luck with Craigslist. I was able to connect with three Doms--all gay men--none that sang showtunes (all "manly" don't-call-me-gay men) and it was pretty damn easy....and those were just the ones for SM play. I had about 50 or so e-mails to comb through (and eliminate) because they wanted to also have sex....it Asheville doesn't yield results, try some nearby cities. And remember....sarcasm and dry humor doesn't always come across well in written form. So don't get your boxers in a twist because people thought you were acting like a tool.... and typing all in CAPS is considered really poor netiquette, which just reinforced it. I think I've worked it out Greeds - the op has a username asheville but he's shown as coming from a city called - wait for it - ahsville. Imagine growing up always having to think one comes from - say it - arseville. Even with having been been educated extensively in behavioral, psychological, and sociological aspects of re-socializing people, particularly the young (which he has) you gotta grow up with a complex so that you behave as an arse.
