Chart of the day

quote:

President Obama's 2012 budget will be roughly $3,800,000 million ($3.8 trillion).

The anticipated 2012 budget deficit will be $1,500,000 million ($1.5 trillion). This means we are borrowing that amount from our children to fund all of the Democrats' Utopian spending programs.

Finally, the president has proposed "tough budget cuts" that total $775 million. No, that's not a joke.

2010 was a tough year for the Dems, but judging by the way theyre leading with their chin 2012 will be a lot tougher.

Yeah we should definitely cut thousands of government jobs right as we emerge froma serious recession. That would have no negative impact on the recovery.

You can't argue economics with someone who thinks running a country is just like running a household.

Its like the phony sales...15% off (of something marked up 25% last week).

No real cut in spending, arguing over the Bush tax cuts less than 3 months after everyone including the Dems were saying "you cant raise taxes on anyone in a recession", a 1/3 cut in the mortgage interest deduction that will totally destroy what little equity there is left in homes...this is worse than leading with his chin, its swallowing an overdose of pills and praying somebody finds you before your dead.

The audacity of total stupidity.

I can't wait to see the Republican proposals. They've yet to put up their 100Billion in cuts this year yet.......so I have a distinct impression that it will never come out.....They will only once again carp about what Democrats are actually doing.

And yet the GOP has not come up with anything else.

GOP mocks Obama budget, House weighs spending cuts

WASHINGTON – Republicans are mocking President Obama's $3.73 trillion budget for 2012 for waving feebly at historically huge federal deficits. As if to show how it should be done, they are ready to start muscling their own package of deep cuts in domestic spending through the House.

Where is it? Its fucking march and nothing is done yet? I thought they had ideas already. How bout the 100Billion that Mr. Ryan wants out of the 2011 budget.....We gonna see a proposal before 2012? I kind of doubt it. Typical republican. All hot air, no substance......ie. george, ronnie....et al

Sorry OP.

But you are wrong.

Trillions for wars and wall street.

and tazers, scan-pats, fluoride, fines, and austerity for the weakest members of society.

Until corporate rights no longer trump human rights- you argument is moot.

Obama is hardly insane. He knows exactly what he's doing...remember? "We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America." -- Barack Hussein Obama, Oct 30, 2008.

Good point Jefff. Think, Obama promising the kids candy for dinner if theyll vote him in as their daddy -  which is what we are seeing in American politics today.

When Ronald Reagan left the White House there was a deficit. When Bill Clinton left the White House there was a surplus.
You can look it up.

This is not about Reagan being bad and Clinton being good. The reason there was a surplus is because the economy grew.

If you took all the revenue and through it at the deficit, there would still be a deficit. Economic growth is what will eventually balance the budget.
