And the documentation you provided is grossly misleading...salary is only one part of "compensation".

Which is what I have been saying all along.

The reason people take these relatively low-paying jobs are for the benefits and security involved.

When you cut those things who do you think is going to teach your children, police your neighborhood, respond to fires?

Sanity -> RE: SCOTT WALKER for President (2/20/2011 8:03:47 AM)

I was an above average student in a one-size-fits-all curriculum, so no I want at all impressed with my public school teachers. Especially since the entire class was set at the pace of the slowest learners, the whole thing got old fast.

So that's a "yes", then. Thought so.

Moonhead -> RE: SCOTT WALKER for President (2/20/2011 8:06:15 AM)

I see. You'd rather the whole thing had been geared towards the students who needed the least help, and yourself and the c stream got fucked, then?

(Again, for the slowest student) -You must be doing well, to consider a $50,000.000 per year average base salary a "low paying job". Especially when you consider they get full medical without contributing a dime, full retirement without contributing a dime, summers off, feet up on a desk all day... and so on.

Or alternatively, the lazy greedy teachers could do their jobs.

Base? That's higher than the Wisconsin average.

An excellent try when you were claiming $100,000/yr, twice that just a few pages ago.

And still the AVERAGE, not the BASE--which would of course be lower, to counter the higher paid ones you're bemoaning.

Do you think it's "funny" when public sector unions donate money almost exclusively to Dim candidates? When they vote almost exclusively Dim? When they get sweetheart deals from Dim administrations?

I suppose not. After all, the shoe doesn't hurt until it's on the other foot.

Why do we always have to correct conservatives on PROPER NAMES? Is that REALLY tough to show some respect for our form of Goverment? If you don't like it TS....MOVE....out of the country.

If you dont like Unions donating to their canidates of choice, guess what? TOUGH SH*T. Last I checked, Republicans donate to the canidates they want. Lobbist donate to who they want. And Corporations....they donate to who they like too. So if you dont want Unions to be allowed to donate to Democrats, make a law and get it passed through the House, Senate, and the President. Even if it did pass the hurdles, I doubt it would pass Constitutional muster with regards to the 1st Amendment.

Oh, this would affect the NRA, Tea Party, and all the 'fly by night' operations (read: Shadow Organizations) that help fund the Republican take over of the House last November.

$100,000/yr total COMPENSATION, dumbass.

Youre as bad as rule... [:D]

Sanity -> RE: SCOTT WALKER for President (2/20/2011 8:51:14 AM)

Thanks joe, for underscoring one of the main problems with union thugs leeching off of the taxpayers. These "dues" are confiscated from the public employees then given to political candidates whether the union member agrees with the politics of the union bosses or not.

Taxpayer dollars going straight into campaign coffers is indeed a huge problem, even if one is too myopic to see it
