Heard someone contacted the State about recall. They are stuck with Walker until Jan, 2012. I hope the man enjoys the time he has left in the mansion.

Bubba, I think if you have a deficit or unfunded mandates that you should create a revenue stream to do that. We can fuck around the issue and try to ignore it. We can let you try to save ourselves out of it and destroy the fabric of the land or we can be honest and start to collect taxes to get us back on track.

One question, if what you say is true that business goes away with any tax increase....how do you explain the 1990's with the largest tax increase in history?

I love how the insults come out when someone says they're tired of paying other people's way. There IS NO right to a higher wage or to higher benefits. That is the problem with the public sector union mentality, especially teachers and bureaucrats...it GETS to be a rights thing in their brains. The "rights" to benefits were legislated to them...and now the folks behind the legislation (read that as taxpayers a.k.a. the teachers' bosses) have decided they are paying too much for what they are getting. There is NO right to stick your hand into someone else's pocket and say "you earned it but I have the right to it".

Wow,,,,,,great rant. Now how about replying to what I asked you. If all you said was true before. How do you explain the prosperity of the 1990's on the back of the largest tax increase in history.

As I've told you before...I am tired of answering questions when I do not get a response to what I post. When you do post a response in reply to something I have stated, I am perfectly willing to go along with a give and take. But when you insult me and pay no attention to what I have stated and think I am going to answer your questions...sorry, you are neither my teacher nor my boss.

Not by the unions, no. Oddly enough, the majority of Wisconsin voters...you know, the ones paying for the public sector's wage/benefit packages?...DID elect him and stand behind him.

That would seem to be in question.

Protesting means all-night stays at the Capitol for some people

Scott Walker Rejects Compromise Proposal As Protests Continue

Wis. governor refuses to give in to protests - USATODAY.com

But really, I have to ask this question.

Why do conservatives do this?

Is it because you become brainwashed listening to FOX News?

Really, I don't understand how you can seriously dispute what is right in front of your face.

Right in front of Governor Walker's face are public sector employees from Wisconsin...and those trucked in from other states...as well as those protesters that the D.N.C. rounded up to join the fray.

People that go to work? They showed up on the weekend when they did not have to go to work to support themselves AND the protesters.

And didnt need fraudulent doctors' notes.

mnottertail -> RE: SCOTT WALKER for President (2/24/2011 3:41:45 PM)

well, them fraudulent doctors are moving to puerto rico anyhow, ain't they?  How is that move going, oh bookkeeper to itinerant insurance peddlers?

mnottertail -> RE: SCOTT WALKER for President (2/24/2011 3:49:08 PM)

Another thing, are they docking this fucksticks pay for all the time he is wasting in unethical conversations, and other timewasting grandstanding not doing the states business?  Hes got that Koch thing, hes got that inability to explain the yearly vote and the illegal abrogation of collective bargaining thing........

Sanity -> RE: SCOTT WALKER for President (2/25/2011 6:31:09 AM)

This is pretty good - caught them napping:

Yellow journalism, nobody napping.  Moving to the senate has accomplished nothing, since both houses must vote and reconcile.   They are simply widening the war, much like hitlers rather ill advised foray into russia when he already wasn't doing very well to the west of him.

servantforuse -> RE: SCOTT WALKER for President (2/25/2011 6:55:18 AM)

The people who should be docked their pay are the 14 democratic senators who have been on the lam in Illinois for 10 days doing nothing.

Sanity -> RE: SCOTT WALKER for President (2/25/2011 7:02:58 AM)

Yeah, lets see. We can go by whats written in an Associated Press article, or we can take the word of some mnottertail fella who often spouts infantile gobblydgook that no one can possibly understand.

Heh heh heh heh heh... not a hard call to make, that one.

Or you can come out of your rushfelching induced coma look around you, and read the article and see that mirable dictu, they passed it on to the senate from the assembly (no surprises there) and the senate will not be able to take it up since a great deal of senators are out of town on business, also, no surprise there.

This is all very well known, its been in the news lately.

Now, you may not have been aware that the assembly had been debating this, but most of the rest of the world was. The majority at the outset said that they weren't interested in real debate they were going thru the motions and passing it on as is.

You might want to stop and catch up on some reading so you can discuss the issues around here knowledgeably, I know you want to be seen as an intellect, but...this sort of thing does not further your cause.  It appears to be prisonplanet link like spamming of forum topics.

What really is shameful about the whole 'Union busting' Budget Repair Bill... is that (apart from 'union busting' which has nothing to do with a budget) why is there a No-bid contract for sale of public property... why is that included in a Budget Repair Bill... if we are so much concerned about money, let there be a proper-open public auction... if not, stop the charade of being fiscally responsible...

"16.896 Sale or contractual operation of state−owned heating, cooling, and power plants. (1) Notwithstanding ss. 13.48 (14) (am) and 16.705 (1), the department may sell any state−owned heating, cooling, and power plant or may contract with a private entity for the operation of any such plant, with or without solicitation of bids, for any amount that the department determines to be in the best interest of the state. Notwithstanding ss. 196.49 and 196.80, no approval or certification of the public service commission is necessary for a public utility to purchase, or contract for the operation of, such a plant, and any such purchase is considered to be in the public interest and to comply with the criteria for certification of a project under s. 196.49 (3) (b)."

why is there a No-bid contract for sale of public property...

Somebody has to engage the mechanism to transfer wealth (assets) from the people (state) to rich, private, campaign-contributing, business owners at a non-competitive low cost.

You know, the funny thing is, I was told that the only transfer of wealth that happens in this country is the version  FROM the rich TO the poor, and coincidentally it always happens under a Democrat's watch.  I know, because someone told me about it on these very forums!

And Sanity thinks only Dems engage in sweetheart deals!

You should be grateful that you can make a living by those who let some pee run down their legs.

If it didn't trickle down to you it would only end up in the sewer.
