Its as if you are asking me to define the meaning of words for you.

If youre really serious and youre ignorant of such basic things then do a simple web search.

And do yourself a favor - peruse some of the web sites that are oppositional you your rigid belief system. Malkin in particularly does a lot of hard work fearlessly documenting the darker side of these ugly Union / Political alliances.

It's about time you showed us what these "union thug tactics" were.

The only thing I have seen were protests.

mnottertail -> RE: SCOTT WALKER for President (3/3/2011 7:14:37 AM)

did she at least footnote any of these?

Is it the union thing or the thuggery you find most objectionable?

I'm sure you were among the first to complain about the Florida recount being stopped by the Brooks Brothers riot in 2000, after all...

That's the problem right there Sanity.

You spend all of your time listening to the conservative commentators who tell you exactly what you want to hear.

Maybe it's time to broaden your horizons.

Good grief. That was sorta like telling the staff they could put those deck chairs anywhere they wanted to, except in the lifeboats.
Walker has the whip hand, and he's using it. If he goes too far the citizens of Wisconsin can spank him.
Of course, the government in Ohio doesn't think he's going far enough.....

MADISON—The head of the Wisconsin Professional Police Association slammed Senate Republicans today after they ordered the detention of 14 Democratic Senators staying in Illinois “with or without force.”

“Politics aside, encouraging the forcible detention of duly elected lawmakers because they won’t allow you to dictate with a free hand is an unreasonable abuse of police power,” said WPPA Executive Director Jim Palmer. “Due to the fact that Wisconsin officers lack any jurisdiction across state lines, does Senator Fitzgerald intend to establish a ‘lawmaker border patrol? The thought of using law enforcement officers to exercise force in order to achieve a political objective is insanely wrong and Wisconsin sorely needs reasonable solutions and not potentially dangerous political theatrics.”

Wisconsin Senate to vote on anti-union bill

MADISON, Wis. – Protesters clogged the hallways of the Wisconsin state Capitol on Thursday as the Senate prepared to pass a momentous bill that would strip government workers, including school teachers, of nearly all collective bargaining rights.

The nation's most aggressive anti-union proposal has been speeding through the Legislature since Republican Gov. Scott Walker introduced it a week ago. After clearing a major legislative hurdle Wednesday night, it was headed to votes in the Senate and Assembly.

<snip>

Thousands of protesters, including children and teachers from more than two dozen schools forced to close due to high absences, were expected in and outside the Capitol for a third day of protests. Schools in Madison, the state's second largest district with 2,600-union covered employees, closed for a second day.

<snip>

They chanted "Kill the bill!" and "Recall Walker!" early on Thursday. But there appeared to be little doubt the bill would pass.

"Kill the bill"? Oh my... how ugly.

That being said, the governor certainly would have MY vote, should he seek the presidency! A guy with spine, how refreshingly different - I like that.

The "spineless" European economies, being ~ 40 percent unionized, low cost education and low cost health care, and kicking the US all over the joint economically in every way, would likely not get your vote then, I take it.

Ideology over results.

That's how we've arrived at where we are today.

Congratulations.

joether -> RE: SCOTT WALKER for President (3/4/2011 4:16:50 AM)

So, because Gov. Walker cant find another other methods of getting Democrats back (like being adult enough to comprise), he'll use threats of layoffs. That's right boys and girls, the man who 'represents' the 'people of Wisconsin', will start laying off Wisconsin citizens. Anyone want to bet it'll be non-Union workers that he'll target first?

On top of that, the Governor demands the police take the AWOL Democrats in to custody, including going beyond their jurisdiction.

Am I the only one that thinks this guy and his lackeys are out of control? That they are heavily abusing their power?

Is it not apparent to conservatives, that this turkey is causing more mayham then he's worth?

Oh, here's the real kicker....

After this mess is resolved, the Republicans can vote to have the Democrats, and I quote Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald (R) "they could face reprimand, censure or even expulsion". If you were in the Democrat's position, would you come back AFTER hearing that? Course not! You would demand all actions taken by you be given immunity as part of the comprise. Oh, I forgot....Republicans DONT COMPRISE.

If Mister Palmer doesn't have the stomach to enforce the law he is in the wrong line of work.
I think he would be happier in Illinois.

truckinslave -> RE: SCOTT WALKER for President (3/4/2011 5:08:12 AM)

I think they should stay in Illinois until after their recall elections. That way they won't face expulsion <snicker>

Fleebaggin crybabies......

tazzygirl -> RE: SCOTT WALKER for President (3/4/2011 7:08:32 AM)

Ya know, recalls work both ways.

They passed a resolution, it is equivalent to proclaiming used toilet paper virgin forest.  It is nothing.  Grandstanding, and theater.

truckinslave -> RE: SCOTT WALKER for President (3/4/2011 1:10:56 PM)

Yes it does. Many are unaware that there are recall attempts underway against members of both parties. Of course, Rs facing recall elections will be able to campaign in Wisconsin and debate empty chairs whereas Dims facing recall will have to phone it in from out of state. Pretty funny stuff if you ask me.

I'm waiting to hear the howls from, say, the Dim Media, when an R legislature takes to the hills.......

Wonder how many states will adopt changes making the presence of 100% of the majority party a quorum?
