ORIGINAL: WhiteRae Have you never done something or given to someone even if it didn't benefit you? What's wrong with helping people just because they need it? So according to your logic my dad, who worked for the same company for twenty years (including working a second job at some points), got laid off due to the company pulling out of the US, being unable to fund a job due to the economy for two years, then got one for about a year and got laid off again because of the economy. Are you saying that is all his fault? He went to Purdue. He had an education, he just had bad luck just like so many others because of the economy. So when my family couldn't always get by, it must be our fault. As I said, I give regularly to the American Red Cross. Have I ever been in a position where I've needed them? No. Does that meet your standard? And if you'll read my previous posts, I've never said there was anything wrong with helping people. Do you need directions to said post?
