""While not exactly legally binding, a "slavery contract" can come in handy when a master needs to spell out "duties of servitude" and levels of punishment for his chattel. Well, at least that's what we've heard:""

Dear kittensmailbox, Ladies and Gentlemen;

Slave contracts are not legal binding at this time however, if memory serves me correctly Indenture is still on the books as being legal.  The loop hole remained behind, to which was used in the Colonial days, to which remains through the present day.

All contracts that are written, are wonderful and tangible testiments to what "is" and as time passes what "was," as things change and grow that causes the need to ammend the contract.  Contracts make a good reference as to what expectations and duties were created as to fit those individuals at that point and time.  So, if either party broke the contract the remedies and options of the breech contract would give the ability to leave the agreement, ammend the agreement and or pay penalties of that agreement broken.

Contracts merely state out the boundry of behavior and operations within it, from expectations, goals and rules of which to operate within.  From one's word/oath; from a handshake and or written--contracts can be useful and be used as a bit of personal history documented.

Respectfully submitted,
Lady Hugs

Seems to me she turned a mutual kink into a tool of greed. However, I do not know all the dynamics.

What is *a legal document* , and what is *legally admissable* are two totally different playgrounds.
A contract can be highlighted on every single page that it is not a legal document. So what? It can still be entered as evidence in a court of law. Journals, diaries, phonecalls, school papers, poetry, stories, etc... are not legal documents, but they are certainly admissable as evidence. Evidence doesn't have to meet a standard of whether or not it is a legal document, only if it is legally admissable.
Don't want your contract used in court? Don't have one.

Dear Proprietrix, Ladies and Gentlemen;

I agree with you.  It is called the preponderance of evidence, to which any item is added into evidence, from notes, toys and computer logs and hard-drive evidence.  It can help and or hurt, depending on the courts.

Respectfully submitted,

Wow, Such a mild contract caused her to think she could take him for $60,000.00. That's sad indeed.

Since you don't know the details of the private lives of these two individuals, it's difficult to judge whether she is in the right, he is in the right, or neither of them are in the right.

i do not agree MrDiscipline, it is a choose we make... i can not force a person to like me... "Life is not what happens to you, but how you react to it...for what caused you to react will surely pass, but how you continue to react can only be passed by you." i for one, choose not to be rude and hateful toward others....

I am not in any wise disabused of the notion that the lady is a pretty fucked up human being who, because some certain undefineable something just happened to set her piss flaps aquivvering at a frequency that makes 60 million dollars sooth her broken ego is anything that I will apologize for.  I am built (or wired as you guys call it) in such a way that my rotten soul will find nothing pleasant to say about this.

You don't have to apologize to me. You didn't do anything that effects me. I'd just be a bit more careful of my own words before using someone else's against them. Now, me. I can be nasty and have been on a number of occasions. ::shrugs:: I'm a human and sometimes I say things I regret, too, but realizing that, I don't call people out on the very things I do myself. I just call them out on the things I don't do. ::chuckles:: I think it was sweet of you to offer an apology though. I'm still working on my own flaws, too, so when I reach that state of perfection, I'll let everyone know so they can worship the ground I walk on. ;)
