Really??? I also know a fellow who likes to think he's funny and smells good. In both cases, little evidence supports the theory.

Actually, myself and another conservative had a conversation about Rush the other day. He claimed that Rush was a moron and he couldn't believe anyone would be stupid enough to listen to him, let alone do anything he said to do. One of his biggest problems with the man is the way he generalizes everything and paints large groups of people with the same brush. (kinda like you do on a daily basis) I had to agree with him. Now I am going to have to go back and tell him that he almost ended the world with his words. I am sure he will be very grateful for you letting us know how we think and feel.

Whats fun about this post is how a few posts later in this same thread she admits that she doesnt understand what "Alinsky tactics" are...

Judging by the context, its a safe bet that she doesnt correctly understand the term 'strawman fallacy' either.

The quick thumbnail is going to be that the ends justify the means. Like Machiavelli, he was brilliant and amoral. Polarize, demonize, and lie like hell when/if you compromise. My copy of "Rules for Radicals" vanished long ago, but it's a fun read, and seems to be available online as a pdf.

If there seems to be the interest for a fuller discussion, it's supposed to snow here tonight, so I'll be in.

I would love to join that discussion, unfortunately, I have to work (dang pesky bills). But, if others are willing to join in, Im more than willing to read when I get home.

And Im sure you know that I asked your opinion on this, rather than "someone elses" because I wanted an honest answer. I have no issue admitting I dont know everything. Its amazing what I have learned just from coming to the politics boards.
