My views are no less constant just because I don't subscribe to extremist parties. I follow candidates that appeal to me, rather than remain undecided; with the undecided/apathetic being these "moderates" you refer to.

I'm sorry that you fellows feel the need to try and embarrass anyone who finds political extremists dangerous. I'm sure that as I retire from this thread, the hooting and giggling will continue. Myself, I'll be waiting for more people like myself to get over this agenda talk and either heal this country or pull it the rest of the way apart, as that's where this leftism and rightism is headed.

I have seen a whole lot of people on this board claim they were moderates when their views betrayed that.

I consider myself to be a slightly Right leaning moderate. Maybe a 5.5 or 6 on a scale of 1-10.

That just means everyone argues with me LOL.

I'd consider Myself far from apathetic.

Your views are primarily liberal from what I have seen, so I don't understand why people insist on defining themselves as moderates when they obviously are not.

That won't matter a bit more than my having knocked on doors for Clinton, Tazzy, or the countless number of times that things which needed to be moved around for activist events were loaded into my crappy little pick-up or old VW bus.

lol... im not looking for bonus points, Rich. Depending on the issue is how my beliefs fit in. For example... im firm in my belief for the right to own guns. Not a liberal stand at all... yet one I hold dear. I also believe in the right to chose. A very liberal stance.

I don't view people who have strong opinions as being extremist.

What I view as being extremist is wanting to shoot people and feed them to the gators.

Then we have a definite difference of opinion.

I don't understand why so many people refuse to take a stand.

You and I have differences on many issues, yet we all want to pretend we are in some type of happy middle ground when we are not.

Well, defining oneself as "middle of the road" (so to speak) is still defining oneself. Neither of us is middle of the road on some issues, whereas probably we both may be on others, and on some we're on opposite sides of the road. Stereotyping -- oneself or others -- is rarely productive, or accurate.
