alleged conspiracy

Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get me.

Seriously, this is nothing new, and I doubt it has any clear lines.   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Paranoid_Style_in_American_Politics

The problem is that the only difference between a conspiracy and a contract is an illegal subject; and if fraud is the subject, then it comes down to whether you think you're getting full disclosure.

For example, did the Bush government just shout down people who had questions about blundering into wars - questions like, "how are you going to finish this?"

For example, is it fraud to sell a financial product without disclosing that your company has hedged their position?

its only legal for the gubmint to operate without full disclosure.

That (9/11 attack) was a massive failure of government - there were plenty of warnings - the FBI was commenting about Saudis who wanted to fly a plane but not land one, the CIA specifically warned Bush, the WTC had been attacked by jihadists before, and the use of aircraft as bombs had been war-gamed before.

The idea that anybody could have foreseen that assumes that they would pull their heads out of their collective ass for 10 minutes.   Not a chance.

You have a point, and the question is of course what is necessary to national security.    Bush didn't think it was necessary to keep the identities of CIA operatives secret.

But as a practical matter, if you're anybody "too big to fail" on Wall Street, the government pretty much has to suck your dick after you've buttfucked the rest of us.

The solution is obvious - that's what we have anti-trust laws for, because too big to fail is too big.    You can take Citibank and chop it into specific branches and local banks, and the well-managed ones survive, and the poorly managed ones go the way of Lehman Bros.

Back to my original point, FEMA has no such camps anywhere. The AMTRAK facility is not operated by Dept. Of Homeland Security or FEMA, it is just what they claim it is, AMTRAK.

Yep, but there will be a cohort immune to knowledge.

However, IIRC there are a hell of a lot more theories bombing around since Obama was elected, even more than during Clinton.

Funny, I first heard about FEMA internment camps during the Bush years.

You are totally wrong.

They were created by Obama and his brown shirt army.

I just hope if they send me there they give me time to pack a toothbrush and some clothes.

Sorry RML, but the earliest reference to FEMA internment camps I can find is in May of 2008, before the election of Obama.

I read the link, dismissed it as bullshit, and did a bit more research.

What strikes me as funny is that no matter who is in control, Republicans or Democrats, the government is always planning some move to put people into detention camps.

when did the FEMA internment camp myth start

Those are the articles debunking the myth, starting in May of 2008.

Sooo........what exactly are we arguing about?

You think the FEMA camps are a myth and I think the FEMA camps are a myth.
