It doesn't really matter that people think I'm off My nut, which would be the truth of it. All that would matter would be that, in My insanity, it would be My religion. So, if this OP actually believes one word that he's written in this thread about his relationship with God, it absolutely belongs right here as a discussion about religion. It doesn't matter what version of crazy he might be. It still belongs right here. Not to mention, those of us who like to frequent random stupidity don't really want it clogging up our favorite haunt. We get enough of the silly threads over there about why people won't answer mail and every other dumb thing that people decide to post. You guys can have this one. Gee,thanks...you are too kind.

I am uncertain if regarding sin as an imperfection is especially useful since this tells us nothing new. It is better to regard sin as a chemical reaction and as a wound. The wounds interact synergistically to produce a festering wound. It is like having been a victim makes you a victim. It appears necessary to regard sin as taking two forms: original sin and wrong doing. God may forgive your sins; the devil does not or is less inclined to do so. Original sin is needed to make sense of how it is possible to be a victim even though you have done no wrong if sin is the root of all evil. You don't want festering wounds. You want the wounds to heal. The festering wounds will make you a target for further victimization. The venom of the snake bite needs to be extracted. Suppose a snake bit you for real. You might be inclined to say to yourself, why? Why did the snake bite me? You might tell yourself, I have done this snake no wrong. Think of original sin as all the wrongs that have been committed since the beginning of time by you or others. The ancestors of the snake were wronged and so now you too are wronged. Either way, the venom needs to be extracted. Killing the snake will not extract the venom and without the venom there would be little cause to kill the snake. Rid yourself of the venom and spare the snake. Devils are pure venom; hence, once you rid yourself of this venom, there is nothing left to spare.

You seem to see this in black and white with no shades of gray. I trust noone to define sin for me, even the government. I think I know right from wrong and I also know that sometimes wrong is right and vice versa. Noone else can make those choices for me. Sin is only a word, seemingly meant to express the idea "wrong". It doesn't. The meanings of sin and wrong are about as close as the meanings of illegal and crime. It's illegal to park your car on the sidewalk in front of the diner, but it is not a crime. What the treacherous leeches do to this country is a crime, but not illegal. Everyone has their own interpretation, which oif course results in the giant soap opera we call Earth. And someone defining right from wrong from five thousand years in the past is not likely to be relevant. You, your God, His Son, none of them can forgive those who have transgressed against Me, that is my right, solely. Mine. Whatever created me, us or whatever, would not take from me that which was provided. Among those things is free will. It is my right to hold a grudge and/or seek revenge. It is My right to use others on this planet as a piece of meat, or show respect that may be reserved for a God(ess). YHWH does not make that choice for me. And whoever created me gave me the right to do as I see fit, no matter what. The words of Alastair Crowley - If it hurts none, do as thou wilt. If it hurts none and I want to do it, fukum. Literally. Does that make me evil ? I think not. In the name of your Lord people, real people have been killed, even raped and pillaged. Women and children, and you know it. In that name there have been holy wars, genocides and other mischief perpetrated in His name. You know all about it and that is that. And yet you can proscribe this supposed morality as correct. Isn't that a sign of faulty reasoning at the very least ? Let's crank out a quick example. Man shall not lay with Man as he does with Woman. I forget where it is but you know it's in there. Now I don't swing that way but some do. I've noticed something, those who do have never given me an ounce of trouble. Man don't lay with Man, what the fuck do you care ? Just don't "Do It In The Road", per The Beatles. I don't buy any of it. You use your free will as you see fit. You want to give it up that's your business. But it's not for me. If we come across difficulty finding contextual commonalities because of this, so be it. I would rather be understood correctly. T^T

The crime is the denial that he or she is special. The victim concludes that they are not special and they go about the world trying to convince others that they too are not special.
