I used to run an Iron Age living history group, and the education of the time was that the celts that the Scots and Welsh cling so much to as an identity is wrong, for although the name of Wales is a derivitive of the Saxon name Wealas meaning foreigner, that perhaps because the Saxon had come across people who refused to take on board more modern ways of doing things, the modern day Welsh could spring to mind in this, the invading people were a force of assimilation not eradication. That being the ancient celts are all over the UK, assimilated in to Anglo Saxon, and Normandy and anything else that came after, bearing also in mind, that the Romans who inhabited Britain for some four hundred years before were not just Italian. We are well and truly a mongrel people and I believe, better for it. Scotland, the Scots, well, they were invaders, I believe from Ireland, Scotii tribe possibly, so they cannot cling to the lands they inhabit as their ancestral home, they either forced out or assimilated the existing people who might have been the Gaels or the Picts, although I am not to sure about Scottish history as my concern, is that of my own lands. Celtic now, is a commercial term and a term used by those that want to be differenet from others, so they can be treated differently, the reality is, as I have said, the whole of the UK is a mongrel nation, and with that those that emmigrated from here to other lands took their mongrel blood with them. But why do people like the Scots and the Welsh hate England and with that, the English so badly, well could that be because of what the English aristocracy did to other nations in their land grabs, you know, land granted by the monarchy for services rendered, I don't suppose even the English peasant had any say in that, the same the world over, thugs take land and subjugate those that live on it, my land given to me by the monarch, you want to live on it, you work for me, times have changed, don't like it, go, or feel the edge of my sword. But as a relative who now lives in England after running several successful community based businesses for ten years in Scotland says, when he was confronted with the few pathalogical English hating Scots, the disgruntled, the reason why Scots hate the English is because at the time England was militarily stronger than Scotland, now if it were the reverse and Scotland was stronger, would it have been them who had invaded England, for what is being displayed by the Scots and the Welsh, is pure sour grapes. I guess at the time England had as much respect and hate as the Americans now have on a global scale. In terms of the Welsh making organs public property at the point of death, I believe is a backward step, that because I have serious reservations about organ transplantation, we were given what body we have to make the best of with, who are we to change that body by canibalising the body parts of others, surely that goes against the creator's designs ? Should we not be looking for ways to heal damaged body parts rather than replace them, as replacing is also indicative of the throw away society we have become, for much damage to essential organs could be actually created by us in our living recklessly lives, living perhaps beyond our intentional design. Furthermore, I am wholly aware of the trade in body parts, the poor either being encouraged to sell their body parts so the rich can live longer, or and it happens, people being taken for their internal organs, as they are a commodity. Why does the body reject transplanted organs, why, because they are alien to the body, they are not meant to be there.
