ORIGINAL: Aynne88 Personally I am a 20 plus year gun owner, I think a lot of women would benefit by having handgun skills. You can't just buy a woman a gun, most women are scared to even handle them unless they have been around them and used them. Teach her how to shoot, take her to a range, make her feel familiar with it, so that the anti gun people will stop telling us that it's going to be used against us. That's highly unlikely in this house I can guarantee it. I am a fan of the revolver type myself, I find my S&W .357 far easier than my Ruger P.90, which I am not fluid with enough for me on the slide action. I don't get the mindset that a gun is a fashion accessory. Hot pink "handles"? I hope she learns it's not called handles and I hope she knows that even with hot pink, if handled incorrectly it's just a deadly as stainless. You sure are a hoot, a regular Bonnie Parker aren't you. And no I didn't take the time to give her a lecture about grip panels or any other parts nomenclatures. If she ever does take a serious interest in having a gun of her own, or shooting one of mine I'll be sure to do something just like John suggested in the post after yours.
