By small I mean offer a simple foot massage. If you see that she is comfortable with the massage thing, climb one step up the ladder and sneak in a small little kiss. If she warms up to the kiss, perhaps you can go on to some serious toe sucking and sole licking ;)

With all due respect, I think you are being a bit shortsighted there.  Very few things that are created by humans are designed entirely for practical purposes.  Take something utterly practical: duct tape.  It comes in a variety of colors.  Even before it did it came in a silverish color to match the ducts it was intended to repair.

Armor.  How much more practical can you get than something that is intended to prevent someone from sticking a sword in your guts?  There is a museum in Massachusetts that can show you that hundreds of years ago people even put decoration on armor.

Decoration doesn't mean lack of protection, whether it's stubbing your toes or preventing someone from eviscerating you.  The biblical story of Joseph says that thousands of years ago even shepherds liked to look nice.

I dare say that you must be one of the few women in the world that doesn't enjoy another person thinking that they have good taste.  Looking over to the corner of the room, I notice that the hinges on my door are decorated - they are not entirely functional.

For the record: The boots you are wearing in your avatar picture are nice, but I wouldn't comment on them.

Nice leg though.  Just because I have a fetish doesn't mean that I have a one-track mind.

So for the other L/ladies here: If a man said, simply, "Nice shoes" and you weren't wearing a pair of flip-flops: would you take offense?

Status: offline 		This is merely a matter of preference.  I did not say that her boots were not nice, merely that I would not have commented on them.

They look quite capable of protecting her feet.  She specifically said that she would consider me strange if I found them attractive.

I would have noticed those legs in that skirt if I was blindfolded and turned the other way.  Through twelve feet of lead-shielded concrete.

As for choice of sword: I am a direct ancestor of someone who was known for his skill with a broadsword.  Of course mostly he was known for being a cattle thief.  More importantly I'm known for my choice of weapon as a rifle: from 400 yards away through twelve feet of led-shielded concrete.

I ain't stupid y'know.

He was not a creep and i was not hungry for weeks, i was just hungry that morning... and i was impressed by his directness and i had absolutely nothing better to do.
Also he was more than a head smaller than me... i figured i had a good chance of winning if it came to a fight. The hotel was 4 stars, big lobby people saw us. I think he might have wanted more but i was not willing to let him have more... not for just some breakfast...
I suppose it depends on what the other person considers 'high maintenance' i am more in favour of striking sort of equal deals and having adventures.

I'm not a foot fetishist--but have plenty of friends who are.  And for many, many years was married to a woman who owned an upscale shoe boutique.  We saw our fair share of vanilla-clothed fetishists.

One approach you might try-- LEARN all about women's shoes.  The designers, the styles, the trends--  approaching a woman to say "I like your shoes" will only go so far.  She may ask you why--and you'll need something in the tank besides "because they're hot and it gets me off"

But if you can say: "I love your shoes....are those Steve Madden?"   and then open the door for a conversation about them...his latest line...or maybe talk about a pair you have....(he does mens too)  You'll have a nice conversation--most women into shoes LOVE to talk about their shoes....and your interest will intrigue some, impress others.  After all--you are clearly interested in their shoes--which puts the emphasis where you want it to go, and not explicitly sexual off the bat.  It doesn't give it the creepy vibe.
