No, we havent chained our physicians, nurses and patients into dank dark dungeons as they have in the UK and Canada etc but we do have health care, contrary to the malicious rumors started by the Kremlin back in the 1960s. If you compare a group of Americans who have been on public assistance for say, ten years (not disability) to a group of Americans who have been working for ten years certainly the working group will be in better health and have much lower rates of obesity, heart disease, asthma and other maladies. Their healthcare system is great...If you don't have money it is better than nothing...far better... and if you do and you are really sick you can go somewhere like the US to get good prompt care without a waiting list. But which ever way their system is better than ours for the majority I believe... It would be different if it were only the UK but I think most all countries with universal healthcare have a longer life expectancy then the US…What more could you measure by? Butch

Its called... a capitalistic society, helen. And when insurance companies stop paying, and the cost of premature deliveries go through the roof... and the numbers of those deliveries escalate.... And people dont view our system as broken. This wasnt an orphan drug until the FDA made it so. Im hoping they reconsider their position. But I wont hold my breath.
