ORIGINAL: Selectivelight And this, my boy, is why you don't shit where you eat. That worldly advice aside, here's how I'd fix it if I were you. (Warning, opinions below!) 1: Don't be a dick, be social with the girl but don't invite her out anymore. If she offers an apology, accept it, but make it clear you're no longer interested. Don't go around being rude or resentful. Be polite, and focus on your work. You should have been doing that to begin with. 2: Call your ex, apologize to her. Don't ask for her to come back. Don't accept if she offers. Just let her know that while things didn't work out, you wish her all the best. If you don't actually wish her all the best, you're a jive turkey and should get over yourself. 3: Remind yourself, twice a week, when you see this co-worker, that you brought this on yourself, and should be grateful it hasn't turned out worse. You should be humiliated by what -you- did. Not what she did. This. OP........grow the fuck up and quit living up to your screen name. I hope the next guy your ex dates is more mature and less whiny. This again. OP, you didn't get played. You threw somebody over for 'the grass is greener' concept. In turn a smaller version (no real emotional/relationship investment) happened to you. It wasn't quite what you deserved, as yours was minimal. Maybe you'll at least get a small taste of what you did to your girlfriend over this experience. It is My sincere hope that your ex-girlfriend finds someone who is more dedicated to her than you were.
