The Republican party itself has done nothing but distance itself from that administration.
Add to that you would lose your "teabagger" decoder ring.....wouldn't you?

Hmmm...I musta missed the memo on the teabagger decoder ring.  Heavens no!!  If they're handing them out to liberals...I sure need one to de-code their thought processes!!

Do you seriously want to rehash all that Obama inherited from the previous regime?

I shudder to think where we would be...financially...worldly...on all levels.  We'd probably be in a third war by now...and the middle class would of become extinct...completely.  It's my opinion we'd be in the pits.  Obama had no where to go but up, IMO.  Don't always believe him...and I still think Obama has dabbled in NLP, but I'd take that anyday over where we were heading!

By the way, you do know that Obama's numbers have remained remarkably stable and consistent with the percentage that voted for him.

39% approve of his leadership. thats stable?

Gee, I don't know, because apparently you pulled that number out of your ass since I don't see any link to verify it.

Meanwhile, if you scroll up to DK's link you will find that even Rasmussen doesn't have his numbers that low, and he is above 50% in three of the latest polls.

Guess your research skills are as weak as your logical thinking.
As I posted in the other thread:

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 37% of Likely U.S. Voters now say the president is doing a good or excellent job as a leader. Forty percent (40%) rate his performance as poor. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Got to love wilbur's reliance on a consistent outlier poll. Kind of puts the lie to his claims of knowledge of statistics, mathematics etc.

Y'know something, folks, I really just wanted some takes on the 2012 GOP primary.

One of these days, I'm gonna start a thread that doesn't degenerate into liberals bashing Bush and conservatives bashing Obama.  No, really, I will.

Threads are fluid things....they often meander this way and that, one post leading to another and so on and so forth. You start a thread dealing with possible republican candidates one poster denigrates the current admin while lamenting the passing of the previous admin......shit happens.
The only way to insure a "conversation" stays restricted to your chosen subject, and only your chosen subject,is to have it all alone....but what fun is that?

Maybe we should have permanent threads we can refer people to when they wander into chronically familiar topics: Left versus Right, Atheists versus Theists, Israel versus Palestinians, Islamophobia, Global Warming...

Also a thread for personal attacks: {Sanity, truckinslave, et al} versus {mnottertail, rulemylife, et al}.

Maybe one called Moderates where people can make moderate statements as well as equivocate.

ETA Momentary indecision about where to post this.

Bush made treaties with Libya, not wiping him out.

" Libya's leader, Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi, has admitted that his country had been trying to develop a broad arsenal of unconventional weapons, and he promised to dismantle them up and submit to international inspections, President Bush and Prime Minister Tony Blair of Britain said Friday.

Mr. Bush said that if Col. Qaddafi followed through, Libya could ''regain a secure and respected place'' among nations.

Libya's actions came after nine months of secret diplomacy, beginning with an overture from Colonel Qaddafi to London and Washington just as the invasion of Iraq was beginning."

I think I'd like to see Donald Trump win the nomination and maybe even the presidency. I think Trump will do better with health care reform, Wall Street reform, cutting military spending, improving the trade deficit and protecting/improving Social Security and Medicare.  I think he's a patriotic American who will not sell out his country.

You do realize that he has absolutely no experience in any of the things you mentioned?  Has he mentioned his intention to do them?

Lol, Steven, the current inhabitant has "experience" pushing the "present" button in the senate.
He's a lawyer trying to do a manager's job.

So he has as much experience there as 0bama0, and more business experience?

Seriously, the guy can be pretty appealing when he talks about restoring the American economy....
