Marini -> Will you be eating anything from Japan again? (3/15/2011 8:40:29 PM)

This is a what the hell thread.

Will you be eating any seafood, rice, or any other food from Japan again?

I have already given up seafood, now this nuclear reaction crap in the water, has sealed the deal for me.

Any sushi lovers out there?
What about RICE, rice cakes, etc.

In our wonderful global economy it's not easy to tell where the food is coming from.

Will you be eating sushi, rice or rice cakes from Japan any time soon?
Or would you be willing to eat sushi from Japan even 5 years from now.

Food Chain May Be Contaminated in Japan

Again, just a what the hell thread, don't trip.

Yes, I will. Call me ignorant, but I have faith that what reaches our shores,
and then our grocery stores, will have passed rigorous testing and been deemed edible.

I live in Louisiana, and was not harmed or sickened by any food since the oil leak either.

Methinks KOBE Beef is gonna get even more pricey.

Gastronomically,

sequence of events never fails to amaze me.

gubmint passes legislation to take over herbal industry

gubmint passes legislation to prohibiting farmers selling food direct to public.

gubmint spreads benzine all over the gulf "yummy"

radiation now spreading over the world

got a hit iodine?

that not how things work my surface dwelling friend.

the MO today is to give people cancer like they did with the africans with the KNOWN tainted vaccines.

Then you die from no KNOWN "SPECIFIC" cause that can be blamed on the gubmint.

MMmmmm benzine!   yummy!

I am not calling you ignorant at all, poise.
I am just wondering about the food chain, and the levels of contaminants, cancer causing agents and GOD knows what, pouring into the ocean lately.

I want to know if anyone thinks, wonders or worries about what is in our food chain NOW, and what will be in our food chain LATER, due to man made pollutants and environmental issues including oil leaks and radiation.

Everything doesn't always come to light NOW, some things may not come to light for 30-50 years.
Thanks for responding.

The paramount question is will yo ube willing to eat anything from anywhere in 5 years?

Look what they are doing!

They are replacing "nutrition" with flavor.  They are putting chemicals in the food that are "tasty" and where is the nutrition?

Taking over the sources of the cure, herbals and food direct from farms!

This is really telling it all happened over the last couple years.  You have the FDA claiming greatly relaxed standards on the mercury levels is a-ok!

Meanwhile the EPA comes at them wondering if they are out of the fucking minds!   When you have one agency claiming another agency is out of their gourd you can see there is huge issues here.

People are literally being starved to death!

Good thing I am not a conspiracy theorist or I would remind people of those HUGE caverns underground with food stuffs to last 100 years for Gods chosen ones who get to go in there IF/when the shit hits the fan!

Is Japan an exporter of rice.....I would think given their population and their lack of large tracts of land  geographically speaking they would be an importer?
Just curious

From a quick search, they import rice and rice products like rice cakes.
I would think they make enough to export.

japan exports large quantities of nutracueticals harvested from the ocean, that is to be equallly or more feared than the food they export from the fisheries imo.

DarkSteven -> RE: Will you be eating anything from Japan again? (3/15/2011 9:13:52 PM)

I don't eat any Japanese foods anyway.

The ocean is HUGE.  I expect that the radiation released will be diluted by the ocean's size so as to become a minor issue.

That said, I really shouldn't be opening my mouth until the release is contained.

slvemike4u -> RE: Will you be eating anything from Japan again? (3/15/2011 9:15:44 PM)

While I am sure they export food stuffs of many kinds, particularly those of an exotic nature(Kobe beef comes to mind)given their population and lack of large agricultural areas I find it hard to believe they are a net exporter of rice....
I know it sounds like I am splitting hairs here...I assure you I'm not,I'm just curious...and not real proficiant at doing internet searches....lol.

Im already seeing the "fear". My restaurant sells sushi. Customers are already asking if any of our fish comes from Japan. It doesnt, and our sushi sales have not declined... yet.

well until china came out with synthetic version they were the worlds largest exporter (mitsubishi), to name one of CO-Q10, enzymes.

It is used for people with ET and parkinsons and reduces the "onset" by up to 50% in large doses.   Just one of many examples

Marini -> RE: Will you be eating anything from Japan again? (3/15/2011 9:19:24 PM)

What I find interesting, is the link that I posted came from a chinese newspaper.

The link I posted is from "The China Post"!

We make not care or be concerned, but China is worried about food coming out of Japan.

Check the link, lol.[8|]

Will radiation leak affect the food chain? From "The China Post"

They do (or did before the quake). They import US rice because of tariff concessions under GATT (1993?) that attempted to even out the balance of trade.

it will be dispersed but the more of this crap thats out there the more dna mutations of everything it comes into contact with!  including us.

Brain -> RE: Will you be eating anything from Japan again? (3/15/2011 9:29:42 PM)

I've never have actually had Japanese food, never gone to a Japanese restaurant. They can buy from Canada and other places what they need.
 MOFA: Japan-Canada Relations

Trade with Japan (2007):
Exports to Canada: 1.24 trillion yen (automobiles, auto parts, machines and equipment)
Imports from Canada: 1.17 trillion yen (lumber, pork, canola, pulp, sea foods and coals) http://www.mofa.go.jp/region/n-america/canada/index.html

just a tiny snap shot  pretty meaningless

the point it is disperses

the westerlies (trade-winds) are at a speed of over 125mph

once that stuff gets up there its on its way here.

http://www.genomenewsnetwork.org/articles/10_02/natural_radio.shtml

so its not isolated to japan as you might think.
