Brain -> Glenn Beck versus James OKeefe (and Andrew Breitbart) (3/15/2011 9:17:37 PM)

I suppose Glenn Beck is trying to maintain his job by not being totally off-the-wall or insane.

Glenn Beck versus James O'Keefe (and Andrew Breitbart)

The right's biggest nut starts turning on the movement's bigger media stars

The Blaze's Scott Baker concludes, "even if you are of the opinion, as I am, that undercover reporting is acceptable and ethical in very defined situations, it is another thing to approve of editing tactics that seem designed to intentionally lie or mislead about the material being presented."

So. Point Glenn Beck!

This post went up days ago, and Beck has been greatly enjoying the praise and attention he's received for being so fair and balanced. And then, as Politico reports, he lightly trashed O'Keefe and Andrew Breitbart:

ChiDS -> RE: Glenn Beck versus James OKeefe (and Andrew Breitbart) (3/16/2011 2:19:46 PM)

Glenn Beck is an idiot.  His false debunking and fake tears are enough to sicken anyone.  Anyone who actually listens to a word that man has to say has to mind of their own.  I've seen plenty of examples where he has left out critical information to make his point and even downright lied.  Hes the disinformation lackey of the right wing.  Shame to Glenn Beck!  Shameeeeeee.

Lucylastic -> RE: Glenn Beck versus James OKeefe (and Andrew Breitbart) (3/16/2011 3:26:13 PM)

so james okeefe is the right s darling or do you have problems with his deceptiveness too?
As far as the OP goes, I do like to see them eating their own.. and its happening more and more with the upcoming elections, fascinating stuff you just cant find anywhere else,
*thank god*

ChiDS -> RE: Glenn Beck versus James OKeefe (and Andrew Breitbart) (3/16/2011 3:30:09 PM)

No don't get me wrong.  Every dog has his day.  I just can't help it.  Can't overlook a chance to bash that idiot propaganda machine.

Lucylastic -> RE: Glenn Beck versus James OKeefe (and Andrew Breitbart) (3/16/2011 3:34:56 PM)

The 26-year-old self-proclaimed investigative journalist is seeking charity status for Project Veritas, an organization he created to raise money for his projects. Because its application with the IRS for tax-exempt status is still pending, little information is publicly available about Project Veritas and how it will operate. The IRS does not make public applications for charity status until after it approves them. But it is certain that his application is not clear-cut, tax lawyers say—and until he gets that status he cannot offer his donors the opportunity to write off gifts to his group.

But, but but, his funders want tax breaks now??
how is what he does a charity??
he lies he deceives, he edits and has been arrested in his charitable work...stack him alongside the phelps for irony

It doesnt have to be a charity to be a non-profit.

outhere69 -> RE: Glenn Beck versus James OKeefe (and Andrew Breitbart) (3/16/2011 6:07:54 PM)

I dunno.  Doesn't sound too capitalist to me.  He wants handouts?  Socialist!

servantforuse -> RE: Glenn Beck versus James OKeefe (and Andrew Breitbart) (3/16/2011 7:35:53 PM)

Just give him some of the public funds that PBS will not be getting.

Brain -> RE: Glenn Beck versus James OKeefe (and Andrew Breitbart) (3/16/2011 7:56:46 PM)

Most Americans think, I think it's over 60%, PBS should get an increase in spending. In any case, I don't see spending cuts for PBS succeeding.

servantforuse -> RE: Glenn Beck versus James OKeefe (and Andrew Breitbart) (3/16/2011 8:01:47 PM)

Now where would you get a 60% figure like that.? Remember one thing. The republicans control the House, and the purse strings.

tazzygirl -> RE: Glenn Beck versus James OKeefe (and Andrew Breitbart) (3/16/2011 8:14:02 PM)

A national survey undertaken by the bipartisan polling firms of Hart Research and American Viewpoint indicates overwhelming public opposition (69% to 27%) to proposals to eliminate government funding of public broadcasting, with voters across the political spectrum opposed to such a cut, including 83% of Democrats, 69% of Independents, and 56% of Republicans. More than two-thirds (68%) of voters say that Congressional budget cutters should "find other places in the budget to save money."

On behalf of PBS, the bipartisan polling team of Hart Research Associates (D) and American Viewpoint (R) conducted a nationwide telephone survey among a representative cross-section of 804 registered voters. Interviewing was conducted February 11-13, 2011, and the survey has an overall margin of error of 3.5%.

CNBC..That explains a lot.

You asked, I gave you the link. It wasnt CNBC who did the poll. They, like many others, merely reported the findings.

You believe that Capitalist NBC (CNBC) is the same as the socialist NBC?

That explains alot about you, too.

Sanity -> RE: Glenn Beck versus James OKeefe (and Andrew Breitbart) (3/17/2011 7:41:19 AM)

AOL is merged with HuffPo, which both are far left organizations. Your Businessweek link led to a "news release" on the PBS website, and your Benton website lists PBS as their "news" source as well (as do your "broadcastingcable" and philly.com links).

So... these links prove what exactly. That PBS can be trusted to use my tax dollars to deliver all the far left propaganda that Americans can consume?

Anyone with a semi-functioning brain should realize thats just like linking to a Tea Party poll on a Tea Party website to "prove" that Americans are in favor of reducing deficits

Oh wait... most Americans are in favor of reducing deficits, bad analogy... [8|]
