I absolutely agree here. I've had this discusion a few times, if the match is good you are BOTH going to enjoy what you are doing. Submission should come from a happy place, not a "grumble grumble, yeah yeah, " attitude.

Now that's too funny Arpig, I was thinking you were from SK. I was born and raised in Ottawa and my dad still lives there. Who knew?

As for me, I voted selfless but I'm not a sexless automaton or whatever the term was. I'm selfish in that I now know what I want and won't settle for less. I spent too much time with self-centered people who took advantage of my good nature, D or friends.

I'm selfless in that I love to help people, sometimes to my own detriment, but even that hasn't stopped. I just want to be me, and that's service oriented, it makes me happiest, throw in some awesome sex and D/s I'm a puddle all the time.

honeypaws.. that makes yuo selfish, by the defs in the OP. Which is a GOOD thing, IMO. you know what you want etc. The to your own detriment isnt so good, again IMO.. it is ppossible to be selfish and selfless wihtout sacrificing your SELF.. but if it is detrimentaal to yourself, not so good.

Thanks Greedy, I've learned over the years to stay away from the people who take advantage, either financially, emotionally or physically. That's why I'd rather be alone than settle for someone I know I won't be happy with. Just made that decision for the first time in my dating life, said nope, not gonna work. It wasn't easy, but I did it and dayum but I'm proud of myself.
