Obviously. Actually this has been rehashed time and time again. The conclusion does really boil down to the fact that CM is providing a public environment and really, if any responsibility to inform lands anywhere, it would be on them. That wouldn't be right. It would be like assuming responsibility for a fight at a party in my backyard. It can't work that way. For example you put your hands on that dude's olady and he hits you, don't go trying to get into that million dollar liability of mine, because then you make an emeny out of me.
Even in a commercial establishment, say I own a bar, some guy hits you. Well, I will bar him of course, but I am liable for any damages ? No. Sue him. Think of a bank. If an innocent bystander gets killed during a bank robbery, can you sue the bank ? They had nothing to do with it.
You want protection, carry your mace, your gun or your k_______knocker* and know how to use it. That applies anywhere.
Now like in a bar, barring people, well that could be done and might be. I believe it would be within TOS if you were actually assaulted or whatever (and have criminal charges going), were to say something. But no way in hell could you give much detail, much less their username. It would have to be limited so badly that it would be useless.
You could mail the mods and put them on alert, but really who has time ? The fact is if I were them I wouldn't do a thing without solid evidence, and if you got that, you don't need them.
I gave this some thought. I don't see any way to implement anything effective without screwing the place up. Really, if you fly 11 states away to hook up, and you find he keeps you in a refrigerator and feeds you nothing but burritos, there's not much we can do about it.

Literally, as fast as you can chamber an automatic pistol.
