I'm not so sure that little comparison was fair to alcoholics.After all alcoholism is a condition recognized by the AMA....ignorance,though it is easily recognized by all who come in contact with it.....has not been classified as a medical condition by that august body.
Just sayin [:)]

You know mike, I thought you had a pretty good idea, about not responding to Sanity, if you couldn't stomach him.

At the least, it would reduce the number of insulting (and often incoherent) post by a large percentage by the left-of-center crowd.

Yet, here you are again, already ... [:)]

I have no idea what you mean Firm,that was a direct reply, directed to,and referring directly to tweaks post...I never,ever said I would not participate in these here pages [:)]
My resolution stands...no reply's or responses to that other poster,nor his sailor boy sidekick.

So do I understand you correctly... you won't directly engage Sanity... but you have no problem joining in with others deriding him?

If so, I find that sad.

Fair point. Thanks for raising it and thereby giving me the chance to set the record straight.

I apologise to all alcoholics everywhere. No offense was intended. [:D]

Yeah, rml, you just live in your own little world, dont you.

I find a little humor in the bumbling White House clown troupe and in that magical little mind of yours you can somehow weave that into me enjoying people dying...

What color is the sky in there anyway, what color is the grass

Really?

Did you just say that?

You have made a mission over several years of defending Bush's invasion of Iraq but surprisingly this is far different.

Care to explain how, considering that so far we we are limiting our engagement.

No,you don't understand me correctly....I have no problem pointing out to tweak that IMO alcoholics should not be further denigrated by comparing them to ignorant folks.One is a medical condition ,which most Doctors believe has its root causes beyond the control of those who suffer from that disease.In contrast being ignorant is,I feel ,a condition one needs to work hard at to maintain.
By the way,my decision not to engage certain posters is completely voluntary...it has not been imposed on me by anyone...so I am at a loss as to the necessity for explaining how I go about accomplishing it...or the lengths I go to maintain it.
Not that I mind or anything...I find I have a lot of time on my hands,posting wise recently [:)]

But we still get to look at your ass every time you post.

And your ass is not boring at all.

In fact, I'm rather fascinated by it.

You really think thats hers? [:D]

Every time I see it I think of her reaching down there to grab a handful of poo to throw at her screen, its what she does in the stead of offering up intelligent debate

Its all most leftists ever do

Actually, I thought it was yours.

Come over here and let me pinch it.

Dissing people behind their backs is part of what internet messageboards are all about. I'm surprised you haven't noticed that.

slvemike4u -> RE: Impeachment? (3/30/2011 7:10:31 AM)

And yet I didn't feel there was any "dissing" going on.All I was doing was drawing a distinction between alcoholism and ignorance. The fact that there was a specific ignoramus as the subject of the barb,was immaterial...Hell,as far as I'm concerned tweak's original post could have been directed at truckin or servant,it doesn't matter I would still have had issues with the comparison [:)]

Sanity does this very thing to me when he is losing an argument based on reason and fact, issues and logic, and I don't consider it dissing.

No, I have a problem with that too.

And I will admit to having done it on occasion but I'm not proud of it.

If something needs to be said it should be said to the person directly.

I have a bad habit of doing that.

That's why my posts are edited so often.

Didn't catch that one though. [:D]

Lucylastic -> RE: Impeachment? (3/30/2011 7:27:13 AM)

Theres enough hypocrisy for everyone
not everyone admits to it tho

Moonhead -> RE: Impeachment? (3/30/2011 7:41:42 AM)

Nah. If anybody did a "Rename Sanitary" poll, the mods would yank it and suspend somebody in a hurry, I suspect.

Wow ,it seems to me one simple little post s garnering an awful lot of attention.
a)I have said enough things,enough times to the poster in question,that any charge of hypocrisy is patently ridiculous.
b) As I said earlier this is a voluntary move on my part to save the rest of the board from the sort of cyclical posting that sanity and I often find ourselves in.
c) various posters block other posters....that does not preclude them from commenting on some post when another quotes that post.How is what I did different..
Now if others feel I am somehow not living up to my voluntary decision to avoid direct contact with sanity and popeye I'm sorry about that,but I learned a long long time ago that pleasing everybody is not my job,and not at all important to me
So I will continue to go about this as I see fit and for as long as I believe it is the best course.
Finally ,though I plucked RML's post to tag this on....this is not directed specifically at what you posted ...it is a general reply to the whole conversation.

By the left-of-center crowd?

Are you forgetting the right-of-center crowd like the cucky twins and several others?
