Actually tazzy I have you and another poster to thank for bringing the definition (that you are now disputing) to my attention on a previous thread. Up to that point I had thought religion was characterised by a theistic connection. You jumped up and down on me for making that point, using the dictionary definition to support your position.
So sorry you can't have it both ways.

Alas, boi, you haven't got it right, but then, in my observation, you so rarely do. I thanked tazzy for "re-stating my point". I then showed that I had made the same point in a previous post. (I rather suspect that tazzy didn't set out to re-state my point, that she was trying to disagree with me. But her position, like yours, is so obtuse she tied herself in knots.)

It seems this thread has now reached the point of farce. There's not even agreement on what a 'religion' is. For what it's worth, I find myself having most sympathy with the concept outlined in Kirata's last paragraph. But that is clearly different to both the dictionary definition and to the everyday understanding. I shall leave you guys to solve the momentous problem of working out what religion is.
