I have a strange body chemistry that seriously, and with a vengence, rejects damn near any metal I try to put into it (probably my Fae heritage!)

Have you tried titanium or niobium?  They work better for people with metal allergies or rejection issues.  (Fae heritage, ftw!)

I have tried a few things that were supposed to not cause a reaction, but they did. I dont' remember what the metals were. I have a few auto-immune diseases that have strange triggers. Foreign metal objects shoved through my flesh seems to be one of them. I will wear 24k gold or sterling silver jewelry in my ears for an evening without much problem, but if I leave any sort of metal against my skin for any length of time - I will have a reaction. I can't even wear watches. My body chemistry drains the batteries. I have the same problem with digital cameras. I'm a freak of nature (sighs).

Titanium and niobium are used in the medical field - hip pins, pacemakers, etc.  That's why I asked if you'd tried them.  If not, there's a chance they might work for you but there's no way to be sure without trying.

I have a friend who drains watches, laptops, professional-grade audiovisual equipment, and explodes lightbulb filaments.  Don't feel too bad, freaks can be fun.  [:)]

okay, you may not want piercings or tattoos but the least you can do is show respect for other peoples opinions and choices and if you cant show respect then just leave us be.
simple as that.
what your doing here is wasting your time bitching and complaining and trying to bring people down who quite obviously, arent going to change their opinion. so to me, you look like you have no life.
and before you tell me to get over it, i already am, i just thought i'd give you what was filtering in my mind.
nobodys going around telling you that (from what i see in your photo) having long hair is wrong for a guy to have.
i believe the point of this site other than to find what your looking for or simply observing is to not discriminate, judge or hate on someone elses opinions and beliefs.

Now, please correct me if I am wrong, but did your topic not invite any and all people to discuss whether or not they have tattoos or piercings?  You cannot possibly expect a public forum to have people agree with everything presented, and it is only natural for conflict to evolve.  Having a conflict is not bad, it is good.  In fact, it is needed.  It is what separates me from you.  Where somebody may think tattoos are sexy and artistic, another may think it is hideous and they look like a walking billboard.

Ultimately I do like (and I use that term loosely each picture) someone such as Sylvere and I don't mind having a difference of opinion.  Does anything get accomplished?  Haha, no.  She has her way, I have mine.  Is it amusing to read?  To me it is.  We can call eachother dumb or devoid of a life but nobody goes to bed losing hair over it.  It's called thick skin.  You're going to need it on the Internet.

Oh you know how to turn me on!

SylvereApLeanan -> RE: tattoos and piercings (4/11/2011 7:44:54 PM)

Yes, yes I do.

peachgirl -> RE: tattoos and piercings (4/11/2011 7:52:59 PM)

when my father passed away, my 70 yr old midwestern stepmother had my dad's name tattooed on her forearm, in Armenian (he was, of course, Armenian). he was the love of her life. I thought it was a beautiful gesture.

I long for tattoos, but I am not permitted by my Master. I had big ideas for my back, like a map of my life. oh well.

pahunkboy -> RE: tattoos and piercings (4/11/2011 8:20:50 PM)

The back is the last place I want my next one... if there is a next one. I will SEE anything that is on my body.

LinnaeaBorealis -> RE: tattoos and piercings (4/11/2011 8:32:21 PM)

I do miss being able to see the ones on my back except in mirrors & pictures, but the back makes such a great canvas!

hausboy -> RE: tattoos and piercings (4/11/2011 9:48:07 PM)

I used to have two captive rings in my one ear (had to remove due to dress code).... one tattoo.  Of a heavy metal band from the 80's.  Got it after my divorce as a way to claim my body back as mine.  Already planning the next one.

::: droool :::

yikes! :: splashthud ::

you wicked woman! [:D]

i find this incredibly sexy, but it's also about the history it represents:

For men, the Moko showed their rank, their status and their ferocity. The which is generally divided into eight sections :
1. Ngakaipikirau (rank). The center forehead area
2. Ngunga (position). Around the brows
3. Uirere (hapu rank). The eyes and nose area
4. Uma (first or second marriage). The temples
5. Raurau (signature). The area under the nose
6. Taiohou (work). The cheek area
7. Wairua (mana). The chin
8. Taitoto (birth status). The jaw

Ancestry is indicated on each side of the face. The left side is generally (but not always, depending on the tribe) the father's side, while the right hand side indicates the mother's ancestry. If one side of a person's ancestry was not of rank, that side of the face would have no Moko design.

Gorgeous, Angel! Thank you!!!

MissImmortalPain -> RE: tattoos and piercings (4/12/2011 5:04:48 AM)

Oh my that is beautiful. I'm phobic about spiders so I would most likely try to stab it if I was close but from a distance it is amazing.
