And what does Arizona expect him to show...

Hawaii does not issue of the long form.

mnottertail -> RE: I love Arizona (4/14/2011 5:58:53 AM)

I think the fiscally responsible move here is to shut off all federal money to nutsucker states who pass purely ideological unconstitutional laws, and in the case of Arizona and the others who get more federal money than they put in the pot, make them pay the entire overage back.

I predicted this, of course. God I hope the Az House passes this damned thing so we can finally get a case into court...Birther Nation

You want to know what I predicted?

That Republicans were going to come up with some nonsense to hound any Democrat who was elected President, just like they did with  Bill Clinton.

And here we are.

Meanwhile, we have serious issues, but it's more about getting back in power than any serious effort to resolve those issues.

tazzygirl -> RE: I love Arizona (4/14/2011 6:28:54 AM)

Why will no one address the fact that Hawaii, as I understand it, wont issue the demanded long form?

I took a look at the Donald's certificate. Its the same one I remember my mother having for us. She gave me mine when I moved. Over the years, I lost it and had to have it replaced. NY sent me the only form it allows for me to apply for... the computer generated form, not the photostatic copy of the hospital form.

DomKen -> RE: I love Arizona (4/14/2011 7:28:51 AM)

FR

This is so damn silly as to funny.

All the birthers need to read the whole Constitution. In there you'll find this
quote:

Full faith and credit shall be given in each state to the public acts, records, and judicial proceedings of every other state. And the Congress may by general laws prescribe the manner in which such acts, records, and proceedings shall be proved, and the effect thereof.

Which means, for the slow witted out there, that no state may refuse to accept Obama's already public BC as proof that he was born in the US.

Now, since there is no legal definition of natural born citizen common law requires that the phrase be interpreted in the commonly understood manner i.e. a person born inside the US.

Therefore Obama has already proved he is a natural born citizen and no state can deny him access to the ballot no matter what dumbass laws they pass.

Sanity -> RE: I love Arizona (4/14/2011 7:46:22 AM)

Or that the governor of Hawaii couldnt find it when he went looking for it

Bet that was embarrassing

If that's your best thinking, good luck.

Precedent?
Or is it just the crock it appears to be?

Nah, I threw that one in to approximate the poor thinking rife on this site that this is going anywhere farther than wisconsin unconstitutional lawmaking is going to go.

The question seems to be do you,or the state of Arizona possess anything that can even approximate what would pass for "best thinking" ?
The evidence offered would suggest a negative answer to that question.

Go ask a lawyer what common law means.

From your link -

quote:

Officials in Hawaii have tracked down papers indicating that President Obama was indeed born in their state, according to its new governor.

[image]http://assets.nydailynews.com/img/2011/01/20/amd_abercrombie.jpg[/image]

Gov. Neil Abercrombie, who took office in December, told Honolulu's Star-Advertiser on Tuesday that "our investigation" indicates there is a recording of his birth.

"It actually exists in the archives, written down," he said.

The new Democratic head of the state vowed when he took office that he would do his best to end the debate over Obama's birth, which began in 2008 during the presidential campaign."We'll do what we can as quickly as we can to make it inevitable that only those who wish the President ill, only the ones with a political agenda, will be the ones doing this kind of thing," Abercrombie told CNN in December. "The President is entitled to the respect of his office and he's entitled to have his mother and father respected."

During that interview, Abercrombie said his goal to combat birthers was a personal one."It's a matter of principle with me," the 72-year-old said. "I knew his mom and dad. I was here when he was born. Anybody who wants to ask a question honestly could have had their answer already."On Tuesday, he again promised he would do "what I can do" to publicly verify that records show Obama was born in Hawaii and is a citizen of the United States, making him eligible to be President.

I am sure the Governor will release the documents he found any day. Maybe OJ will find the real killers soon too...

Actually, I recall Obama/Soetoro not being sure if it was 57 or 58. :-)

...for fucks sake do you know what other name is popular? ADOLF!

No

Adolph meaning and name origin

Adolph \a-dol-ph, ad(o)-lph\ as a boy's name is pronounced a-DOLF. It is of Old German origin, and the meaning of Adolph is "noble, majestic wolf". The Latin form Adolphus arrived in Britain in mid-19th century, having been a German and Swedish royal name and also a saint's name. The name has become less common since the infamous Adolf Hitler and World War II. Filmmaker Adolph Zukor; French actor Adolphe Menjou; fashion designer Adolfo; beer magnate Adolph Coors.

Adolph has 13 variant forms: Ad, Addolf, Addolph, Adolf, Adolfo, Adulfus, Adollf, Adolphe, Adolpho, Adolphus, Dolf, Dolph and Dolphus.

Baby names that sound like Adolph are Udolph, Adelphe and Adelpho.

Do you not understand the concept of privacy laws? And anyway Obama has already released a completely legal BC and it didn't satisfy the birthers.
