IQ wise, I'm smarter than The Man. But he thinks 3D and I don't. I can't think out chess moves six or eight moves ahead, and he can. Besides, the things I am better than him in? That doesn't mean I despise him. It means we make a better team because together we have more skills than either one of us singly. And you don't want to eat his cooking. Okay grilled food is good but can we have a vegetable side please or a salad? He handles the grill, I handle the stove and together you get a fully balanced meal.

It's my observation that, in some field, everyone is "smart." If my self image required that I be, at all times, smarter than everyone around me, I'd have a hard time. I value my skills and respect the skills of others. I see a better indicator to be that I can get along well with people who are skilled in disparate ways.
That is the kind of intelligence I possess, respect, and admire in others. M

I happen to know for a fact that many if not most halo "experts" are pretty scary individuals best left in green with others of their species in a camp run by the government. Some of those guys are scary in ways that even a kinkster goes "Oh S**t". Intelligence, escapism and too much time on your hands is a frightening combo.

Dude isn't living in reality. One of the best living mathematicians is a "serious player" and he famous sucks. We used to be in the same chess club, and I am way better. I would much rather be lousy at chess and have his math skill. Being good at a useless skill does not mean someone is good at dominating (changing) reality. If it did, we would all be better off dating Halo Three experts.
