Hello chibiwolf.
Remember that we're only able to tell a very little about your relationship, so it's really hard to offer precise advice. And I should add that as an evangelical atheist, I struggle with some of the rules and regulations that religion sets out. For example, I'm pretty sure that a half-decent deity would spend less time monitoring people for extra-marital sex and an itsy-bitsy more time freeing the world of malaria (but hey!).
That said, if your Master has been moved to make these changes in his life, he has to decide whether you can still be in it, and you have to decide whether you'll be happy living in the changed relationship.
It might turn out that he concludes that M/s cannot be a part of his life, then you'll have to decide whether you'd be willing to continue the relationship on that basis.
It might turn out that you both flourish in a D/s relationship, where he leads and you obey, without necessarily including all the kinky trappings of a D/s relationship.
If you love this chap, as you appear to do, then my advice is to see how things go, keep talking to him, be there, but remember as you're doing this that you're entitled to fulfilment and happiness and if it turns out that you feel you're not going to be fulfilled and happy in your current relationship, your head will start telling you so, and before too long your heart will catch up.
