I am a positive person, and yes anybody can identify problems.......The difficult thing is creating solutions.........soooooooo IDEAS!!!!!!!!!!

I can appreciate that...but say you take a newbie from online who says they want to be a submissive, even if you dont have to combat a system of online beliefs they have taken on...you still have to deal with the fact that up to this point the whole concept of what it is to be a submissive or a slave is in their head, perhaps in their feelings...but can they ever walk it? Are they really prepared to live it? A cane really friggen hurts hey *grin*..and really submitting to someone even when you dont feel like it...takes a special kinda someone...there are heaps of reasons if I was a dominant I would never look for a submissive online....so thats my reasoning behind saying...why even worry yourself over these issues of people being *brainwashed* by online Doms....

Yes, meeting Dominants on line is a minefield...To the OP..however, you must realize that we are all adults,sub/slaves alike..,yes we will trust unwisely but who has'nt albeit "vanilla" or "BDSM"...We learn by our mistakes and yes granted some become "polluted" as you stated.But in this lifestyle, or any other ,we all decide in the end to take away whatever it is we choose, from any experience we encounter....be well...Tempting

I'm certainly no girl and I'm not a newbie, but I've fallen for the fakers and liars. Luckily I found out what they were before any damage was done, but it still happened. OF COURSE, we want to believe. Some of us can't or won't go to munches alone. when we do, we are often overwhelmed by single doms wanting to "play" with us. I agree that the internet is a tool and that's all it is. But it is so easy to fall for someone who claims he knows what he is doing, but doesn't.

I really am not meaning any offense, but realistically, how can anyone fall for a fake or a liar who has had RT involvement, its just so easy to see through it. Maybe I have just never experienced a real Master Liar or something...i just dont get this at all.

I've had real time involvement...I was with Master for over 3 years. When I say "fall for", I don't mean it in an emotional sense. What I mean is that sometimes, when we are hurting and want to believe, we miss all the signals that tell us that the guy is a liar. As I said, no damage was done...he simply disappeared.

i think alot of the problem, for me at least, is that i really want this. i am beginning a new chapter in my life and this is it. as i stated earlier, i am the trusting sort and tend to believe the best in people until they prove otherwise.

also online is the anonymous factor that we have to deal with. so then do you trust someone until they give you reason not to or do you automatically distrust them until the prove themselves trustworthy.

Do get your point, sorta, just not certain the reason for the antagonistic, bitter questioning technique. Just as 'real' life has liars, game players, etc...so does the internet, just now they can play with you from all across the world. Suppose, the same work goes into moving beyond this as with people one-on-one....perhaps a bit more. Also, when I do find my proofreader, I'll loan her to ya.

Yeah I can understand that...I sometimes count my lucky stars Master found me before anyone else. I was ripe for the picking when I joined the internet, my emotional and mental state was probably the most vulnerable I have ever felt in my life (Just lost a partner to death)...yet still......

Addition to bandit: yes i met Master online..but point being..we both had RT experience in live-in Master/slave relationships so werent subject to the online perfect dom or slave scenario or various other pollutants that have been mentioned. (sorry saw your question after I posted)

I GOT 234567890098765432134567890098765432 emails so far, must be my perfect match times 1000 out there, says the new girl or well any girl here.

YES we all get email, and FEMALES, WOMAN get form letters from every "dom " out there, some with the famous "drop to your knees and obey me, starting NOW.......if I were a subbie I would get weak in the knees LOL

Personally, I'm the cynical sort and earning my trust takes real time contact and then some. That doesn't mean my respect can't be earned, but the trust factor is never automatic with me. That said, I've met, oh, a dozen or so people who are on collarme and with a single exception, they've all been exactly what they claimed they were and there are several of them with whom I've played because I trust them. That said, some of them think I'm too scary to play with.. but come on .. I'm 5'2".. how much damage can I really cause. ;)
