This video is shot of a TG woman getting shit beat out of her. It amazing the vitriol, hatred, and bigotry directed at CDs and TGs. I've seen a similar ganging up on guys who post here looking for partners or expressing their desires, which are met in kind by a lot of mean spiritedness and negative judgments.

Status: offline 		This happened just down the road from me.  It's very possible that I've been in that McDonalds.  It's even possible that I've used the men's room in that McDonald's.  No more of that for me, sadly.

The young man who shot the video not only was heard laughing in the background, he also warned the attackers to run when the police were called.  He later posted in support of the two attackers on his Facebook and Twitter accounts, stating that it was ok to attack the woman, because she was really a man.



I must disagree with the second half of your post, though.  I have never seen a transman or TV (or did you mean a transwoman? - you said "guys") ganged up on here simply because s/he was looking for a partner.  I've seen plenty smacked down for blatant for wank material or "do-me" personal ads, but imo the smacking down is completely justified in those cases.

Been here a long time and I've seen a lot of posts by transgendered folks. Beyond the rare post and run trolls the only negativity I've ever seen is in the recurring threads where a TG tries to justify not being honest about themselves with potential partners.

I have never ever seen the kind of "ganging up" that you allude to here in these forums. Never. I have seen individual posters made rude comments but often they are the ones who are ganged up upon  by other posters coming to the victim's defense.

I am horrified by that video.. the twat that filmed it, while laughing and encouraging the perps to leave before the cops got there.. he should be sent to reside with Bubba in the local jail.

The woman being beaten apparently has a record.. but that certainly does not absolve the teens.  OR any of the other patrons that stood by.

I'm gonna stop now because if I dont I will storm into gold letter ground... and I need to get sleep (I hope) anyway....

When someone is on the ground after an attack, and then kicked in the head etc. its obviously a serious issue so it was absurd how they were allowed to keep running back and attack him/her. The guy filming it should be arrested as an accessory.

Most companies don't advocate intervention during any kind of criminal activity that happens on the premises.  The reason for this is from the legal and liability aspects.  See, if the employee goes and breaks the thing up, the employer then becomes liable for all kinds of fun stuff including the medical bills, any kind of workman's comp from injuries that the employee sustains, and even being named in lawsuits from the attacker or the family of the employee should the worst happen.  The loophole for this is to have a statement in your company policy and/or handbook that states that the company wants you to protect yourself during any incident from a customer that could potentially be harmful to you.

I thought liability might be an issue as staff were just standing around. I have no idea about law in the US but if that sort of thing happened in a bar or a club I assume intervention would occur. I wonder should there be a certain duty of care towards customers in this respect when on a company premises? It would have to be limited of course or people would abuse it by setting up false assaults to sue but if an assault is easily preventable as it was where it was just two fairly young girls that could be easily ejected or at least blocked from the assault victim without much danger to the staff but they allow the assault to continue then I feel the company should have some responsibility - morally at least.
