Ive heard people call for an end to taxpayer funding for government TV and radio 'news" and Ive even supported that myself because theyre so biased, and taxpayer funded propaganda is just wrong no matter whose side youre on.

But I have yet to hear anyone trying to outlaw it, as you claim.

Not just definded..outlawed.

You would be comfortable in this town. Lots of illiterate Right Wingers on food stamps.

Hill, Sanity may be a disagreeable type but he is no one's bitch, he is exactly who he says he is and for that he deserves better than to be refered to as a bitch.

I can disagree with him as well as anyone, and he can certainly become a bit irritating , he certainly needs no one to defend him, but he deserves respect.

Why would I know about bikers? Where would I have picked up that knowledge?

Asking about an analogy that I do not understand, does not make me "dumb as a post." It makes me knowledgeable about what I do and do not know. My first guess was sports. And I know nothing about sports. My second was on standard deviations from the bell curve, which I do know about and understand, however the terms were not defined.

Conservative =/= republican.  Conservative to me is conserving, and making wise decisions with my resources, and supporting politicians who share those same values and support policies that do this ( although I am not sure if any exist).

And let us not pretend like there have not been politicians from both parties who have supported bans/restrictions on adult bookstores, porn, video games, alcohol, gambling and all the other fun stuff in life.

It is wiser to read up on, and listen to a politician and find out about the person, rather than to vote for a person based solely on what party they are attached to.

In 1974 Democrats and Republicans were a hell of a lot more alike, a lot more socially conservative... and neither were like the Democrats and Republicans of today.

JFK was a practicing Catholic, I believe Jimmy Carter was a preacher, Bill Clinton carried the biggest bible he could find to church in the heat of his sexual harassment scandal, Obama claims to be a good Christian...

And I believe most Republicans had or have children.

So where do leftists get off trying to claim that theyre all athiests, or that only athiests have sex lives?

I think a lot of the next generation of conservatives are "South Park conservatives". Socially moderate, fiscally conservative, tolerant of religious folk yet irreverent as hell themselves
