this slave has a dilema of sorts. Master is away & slave has certian tasks it must do daily as Master wishes, and several other one time tasks that need doing. it's dilema is this, it has a spinal condition, {yes Master knows & accepted this slave as his property anyway}and on top of that it is quickly developing a cold. These health issues are interfering with this slave perfoming these tasks.
this slave did make an actual effort to accomplish it's assigned tasks but has failed & feels full of abject misery. 
this slave is still fairly new to Master and has, from day 1, pushed it's ability to perform to Masters wishes, despite the spinal problems. it wories that Master may believe that slave is slacking because he is not here pushing His slave in person, which is far from truth. slave had planned to achieve all Masters wishes & more while He is away.
it seems that this slave is starting to ramble, so it will stop & ask if anyone, Master or slave, has any helpful advise??

i have no experience in this type of service. but were you forbidden to have help with the tasks?  maybe you have a friend who could help. the tasks would be done, you would feel good that they were completed, your Master would be happy they were completed.  if necessary, ask him is you could have some help this time.

this may not help, i am sorry you are having such a rough time.

Is your Master completely out of touch and unable to contact you in any way? If he isn't readers of this forum shouldn't know more about your current health and your concerns regarding his assigned tasks than he. You are his, he should know everything first if it's at all, or in any way possible.

Knowing your condition, and appreciating the fact that you are "new to Master"; part of his follow-up responsibility is to ask you the question; "how is your body responding to the tasks I've assigned while away?" In person you can see the body's reaction; from a distance, you are required to rely on the commitment of truthful disclosure. If you are his property and he considers the full implication "ownership" brings, he needs to appreciate the condition of his possession. Maybe your time to chat with him is limited and the issue never takes a priority, but it should. Assuming he appreciates the value, you are serving him by informing him fully. Not as an excuse, but as a source of  information he needs.

If you can't contact him, then try to accomplish what you can, as best you can, but record the attempt and any "failure" in a journal. When he returns turn it over to him. Whether he punishes you for any failure is obviously up to him, but the feelings you record as you make the attempt will speak for future considerations. The writing task would eliminate needing to remember exactly how you felt as you persevered. It's difficult to recreate, especially in a reunion scenario. Again, assuming his newness with you, what you write in honest naked disclosure should be extremely valuable to him.

That's good advice. My Master is away and I have many tasks to do in his absence. One being that I have to journal everyday about my day and thoughts and send it to him. I also talk to him on the phone which helps me. I would hope your Master is kind and sympatric to your condition and wouldn't want you doing things when you are unable to do them. I understand about feeling guilty about it, but really cut yourself a break. It's not like you are being willfully disobedient.

thanks texasbutterfly,, although that is part of the problem, slave doesn't know anyone here as it came to Master from out of state just over a month ago. also the nature of some of the tasks it knows it is not allowed to complete with another person involved.
this slave truely does appreciate your colncern & friendly input though, thankee sai!

this slave thanks You for Your reply. it has seen Your posts here greatly respects your experience & opinions. Master calls this slave as often as possible during his time away & yes, it did inform him of what is going on with His property. Master is doing what he can from there but slave doesn't want to sound complaining or ungreatful. it is very honored to serve Master and knows that it should not be a source of stress just now when there is nothing more He can do from afar.
Thank You again for Yoour imput & guidence, it helps as this slave had already just started a journal & Your words help slave believe it is doing the right thiung as best as it can.

thank you  Littlepita, maybe this slave is being overly cautious & nervous because it is the 1st time it has been parted from Master. it hopes it isn't being silly in worrying, slave just doesn't want to displease Master the 1st time it's allowed to be alone. and it misses Master so much.

  your words are assuring as well,
     this slave recognizes the names of all that have responded to it's dilema and respects T/thier thoughts & ideals, be they Masters or slaves. Hope all of Y/you have as good a day as this slaves is turning out to be. it no longer feels as alone. & yes, it knows Master is always with His slave, even when physically away & all of Y/you have helped this slave greatly.

Your health and safety or a Master's number one priority, so you do what is best for you and your Master will agree with your decisicion upon his return...I'm sure!

Please know that i do not mean this rudely or meanly-

Stop making your failure the focus.  Stop worrying about how you are failing your Master.  Such thinking is self-defeating and leads only to more failure.  i would venture to say that He knows any physical limitations you may have, as far as your spinal condition goes.  i would also venture to say that "developing a cold" is not a sufficiently limiting physical condition to excuse the completion of assigned tasks.  Finish what you can- not what you feel like finishing, or even what you are comfortable finishing.  Finish what you are physically capable of finishing.  This sounds harsh, but as a girl who personally tends towards the self-pity trap... it is what works for me.  If you give your BEST effort... i believe He will understand.  (the key word is "BEST"). 

Again- i mean this to be helpful, not hurtful.  If i have offended, i apologize.  =)

I'm sure your Master wouldn't want his property getting even sicker by worrying over things you cannot control.  If you've done your best, he will understand.

you're not being rude, just speaking your ideals & opinions, this slave guesses maybe in it's panic at the possiblity of the first time causing Master any major displeasure it had started falling towards self-pity, thanks for showing it that. lol
the cold part,, was a cold/flu,, which isn't usually a big deal, but with everything else, the added irritation { stuffy nose, sore throat & nausea, oh & the top of it's head wanting to fly off while sneezing LMAO} was not helping the slave to think any clearer lol

You are a slave and as such should do whatever is asked of you.  If you die in the performance of those duties, he will get another one.  It isn't your place to question any of his orders.

If by chance before you die you get a chance to read some real non fiction bdsm BOOKS (not online crap) you just might learn enough to answer your own question.

Oh, and make sure someone knows about you approaching death cause if he isn't home soon, bodies in the summer rot really quickly and he will never get the smell out of the house.

Wow Crappy Dom you are well named. I certainly hope you are being sarcastic and not actually encouraging an ill person with a chronic condition to work their self into an early grave. As for you painslave, I agree with some others here. Your Master knew of your condition and should be certain tasks given to you are first physically possible and secondly will not cause a lapse in your health or physcial condition. Your Master I am sure would not want that. Do what you can, leave the rest to when you feel better and explain to your Master either via phone, email, message board or journal what happened to warrant incompletion of the tasks.

Of course I was being sarcastic, a real dominant would keep a doctor on retainer as well as a jet on standby, and in my case I would fund research into spinal disorders in order to find a cure quickly.  Anything less would be irresponsible and only worthy of someone interested only in kink.

Try taking frequent breaks to rest between chores. A hot toddy can help fight the cold, but take care if you are on medication and follow the instructions of that first. A warm damp towel over your head, then bending over a sink full of hot water can help alleviate cold symptons as well. You can only do what you are 'capable' of doing and I'm sure your Master knows this. A hot shower can help loosen muscles as well and allow you to accomplish more than you would have without one. I don't know the severity of your spinal condition, but as you have been living with it, your doctors have probably given you steps to take for pain relief, so don't forget to follow the doctors advice as well. The better you take care of yourself, the better you will be able to take care of your Master's tasks.  Go as slow as you need to and try to save steps by setting up your priority list with an eye to the location of where each task is.. for example, if you have to go to the grocery and the library and the post office, do it all at once so you only have a single trip to make instead of several small ones. I find that if I start at one end of the house and work my way to the other, I can see the accomplishments I've made in a tangible way and that gives me incentive to keep going even if I'm having some physical trouble.

   & thanks, you're right, slave doesn't want to make itself worse, that really for displease Master for sure. He often tells it it worries & stresses about things that it shouldn't lol Thanks for the wise words.

You are correct, of course Sir. Although Master has expressed that his wish is that this slave not die or be injured by accident, neglect or any other form than by His own hand, shoulld He desire to do so.
