you are sweet to post on this further. & yes, slave believes it originally used the term 'condition' rather than disease. Master & slave were at one point discussing the possibility of suspending slave by the ankles to alieviate the pain. & yes, this slave began suffering from the condition before the age of 30.
  Some people have expressed the opinion that it was triggered early because of excessive & early sexual use, ie, positions like doggy, etc, where the spine takes more impact.hmmm many postions would do that lol.

  Thank You for Your kind words & the wisdom of Your experiences. This slaves heart goes out to You & the Ones you lost & it is glad from the happiness you were able to share with your partners, D & s.
   Finally having joined a community, abeit online, You and several others here today have shown this slave a side to the P/people who live this life with thier entire beings that slave had not actually expected.
   This slave feels more honored by the moment at being allowed to be part of The Life & having found so many good P/people here. Such kindness & opedn mindedness has not ever been found in vanilla lifestyle communities by this slave.

    Blessings to you & your family. This slave was a caregiver to several family members also, so it does know both sides of the issue. after caring for older family mebers for many years it then raised 2 children before it decided to give up the vanilla facade & enter its life as a 24/7 slave. it has always known that is was truely a slave, but denied itself complete surrender to a full time Master until everyone one else was cared for.
  this salve truely prays you never develope the DDD condition, and hopes the best for you & all of your loved ones.

painslave97, you say you talk with your Master frequently.  Have you told him what you have told us?  If so, how has he told you to deal with it?  We can tell you many things but ultimately this is between yourself and your Master.  If you have not told him, he will most likely be very angry with you when he finds out.  There is a difference between the letter of the agreement and the intent of the agreement...and most agreements I know, Masters want real honesty, not a slave's opinion of what he/she should or should not be telling to Master.  If you have not been completely open with your Master about the extent of your struggle to acheive, your Master cannot help you as well as he would want to.  My advice is to talk to your Master until you are both comfortable with the outcome as something realistic.  Good Master's do not set their slaves up for failure because they know that a slave tends to punish him/herself far more than a Master will.  I like to think that your Master would like you to acheive, not be a ball of misery on your Master's homecoming because you feel unworthy and a failure.

I am sorry you thought I was saying you were not submissive, you quite clearly are.  I was only stating that I didn't believe you were ready and especially HE wasn't ready to do this on this level.
 
As for non fiction, I was referring to things like "Consensual Sadomasochism", "SM101" or "The Bottoming Book"  that cover consensual sadomasochism.
 
My point wasn't to apply some fake universal standard but was in response to what I see as rather large red flags in your relationship.  If everything is working fine, I am happy for you but you came here seeking advice and I am giving you your moneys worth.
 
I understand some (but certainly not all) of what you are going through.  A very wonderful and special submissive serves me from time to time when I am lucky and she walks with a walker due to a degenerative disease and I have to constantly keep that issue at the forefront of my mind.  I fail at times but it is my goal and there isn't anyone who would question her submissiveness, certainly not in front of me and you shouldn't let anyone question yours either.  Again, I am sorry you heard me questioning yours as that was not my intent.

pain: girl went through this just recently, although she has no Master, but does have a Mentor/Protector and is going to see a Dominant Couple tonight for 3weeks.

girl suffered from Shingels and was in a lot of pain and was given certain things that needed doing by the Dom she is going to meet, yet after explaining things to Him, He was very understanding and told girl to rest, do what she can and finish it when she can.

girl also suffers from arthritis in her knees and back, which does not allow for doing a lot of things she would love to do to please the One whom she will call Master, but also knows that if she takes frequent breaks and rests for 30min. to an hour she will be able to get more done.

as the others here have suggested speak to Him, take breaks and do what you can, journal things so that when He comes home He can see how well you did and where you were not able to complete any tasks.

ok am going to throw my two cents in here
i agree with just about everything i have read in here (especially Master Merc n beths post)
Your Master is always the first one you turn to in situations like this (in all situations) not others in a chat room or message board (nevernevernever) if you cant get in touch with your owner then you should think about what he would say or do if this were presented to him......  try to do as much as you can about your task..... you are your masters property too and if you break down (get sick) and do more damage to yourself then you are doing a disservice to your owner ...you must care for yourself as carefully as you do the rest of his property....more so infact.  the journalling is great idea (god did i say that?   *shudders*) if he punishes you for your failure to complete things then so be it take it and move on but i think he will see that you did as he would have wanted you to do.  good luck.

I don't know...

I'm gonna have to throw in my lot with Crappy Dom.  (Who is actually a very wise man, and truly trying to look out for the OP).

I hope the OP gets the opportunity to interact with other people in the lifestyle...and that she does have the opportunity to read SM 101, or The Loving Dominant, or...something not out of a fantasy. (although fantasies are very nice too!)

When I was sick (for ONE day) my Master told me I would have to hurry up and move close to Him, so He wouldn't worry about me if there was a problem, and that He could help me if there were, and help take care of me when I'm ill. 

Every relationship is different, and, different people need different things, but...most need caring, compassion, and understanding.  And, imnsho, any responsible Master would insist that your health and well-being come before any orders that were not imperitive.

The question is not how must the slave serve?  It is how can the slave serve? 

For instance my slave, point, has had two heart attacks, a stroke, a bad back, kidney problems, arthritis in several joints (mostly hips and knees) and diabetes as well.  It is a case of how can she serve.  I design tasks for her that she can accomplish, pedicure, foot massage cooking etc. and she is learning to play competitive bridge (so well I anticipate she will be rated life master before the end of the year).  This serves Me and gives her confidence in her ability to do so serve.

These limitations prompt Me to seek an additional slave.  But point knows I will always cherish her and her service.

As for the OP take care of yourself hon, if not you will just get sicker and unable to perform your duties at all. If Master knows your sick He/She should be pressing you to take care of yourself firstly and your duties secondly.
