Status: offline 		The thing I love about viewing a series after the fact - aside from not having to deal with the dreaded commercials - is watching the episodes marathon style. I started watching Dexter between seasons 3 and 4. Watched all three seasons front to back in a relatively short period. To me it makes a good program even better and a great program becomes awesome. Boy, it was painful to wait each week once season 4 started. I enjoy the marathon thing enough that I will actually wait on a new show instead of watching it on a weekly basis. Just gotta watch out for online spoilers.

"Will and Grace" was a show I really like that I never watched in it's original run.

I like Dexter tho it is dark.

I also like Weeds.

Hey Julia-  you have to see Hot in Cleveland.  It is new- but on tvland.

Status: offline 		Most recently I saw the first episodes of Gary Unmarried. They were crap but noticed that a lot of good comedies are like that for the first few programmes before they get their act together so I watched another later on and it was excellent. I was sorry to find it only had two series commissioned as it was peaking before they stopped it.

Yes NS, Seinfeld is excellent. Almost every episode is a storming performance although I didn't like the finale much. Its one of the greatest comedies of all time IMHO. At least today there is Curb Your Enthusiasm which is sort of like Seinfeld (Larry David's character was the basis for George) except for poorer production values and slightly dodgy acting.

Status: offline 		I fell in love with a show I stumbled across in Netflix a couple years back called "Huff". Hank Azaria, Paget Brewster starred, Oliver Platt and Blythe Danner played great supporting characters. I couldn't wait to get the second season, and was bitterly disappointed to find that they cancelled the series after only a few episodes in that season. I'm still puzzled as to why, but it's worth the watch anyway. Hilarious much of the time, but some really involved plots and outrageous plot twists.

Can't get Netflix - it's not available in Korea (I'm sure there are plenty of military folks who are disappointed in that... and can I just say... 1 million expats here. Not exactly a small number...) Anyway, I stream from some bit torrent thing or something.

I have totally fallen in love with:
Dead Like Me
Dexter
Spartacus, Blood and Sexy Men
The Tudors
Spooks (British Spy show)
any number of Korean dramas - takes awhile for them to get translated, shown somewhere that people can do their bit torrent magic, and then me to find them.
Nodame Cantabile (Japanese drama)
El Chavo (Mexican comedy from the 70's)
Star Trek TOS
Lucy, Daughter of the Devil (although I've only been able to see a few episodes - can't get it here

These are not ones I necessarily watch NOW, just ones I have over the years. I'm looking at my list - there's a lot of camp in it. I can live with that.

I watched a few seasons of the Dead Zone, and then read more about it and realized that it was cancelled before they finished wrapping up the biggest story arch, and I quit wasting my time on it...

Status: offline 		I heard all the hype about Hot in Cleveland, but when I finally watched it (the episode about the Spanxx), I was really disappointed. It had a couple moments, but I think they're trying too hard, and Betty White, who is so talented and funny, seemed only to have very predictable and cheap dirty-old-lady one-liners, instead of the decent funny stuff that she can do so well. I thought her character on Boston Legal was hilarious.

Hype turns me off.    In fact I will purposely avoid things that are hyped.

I stumbled into a marathon- so I seen most every episode.   Maybe it did seem lame at first.      I was tho laughing so hard at a few episodes Shirley had to come and see what was so funny.

The premise is- the 3 gals were doing all the stuff in a book- to do before they die.  One was to fly to Paris--  but on the way to Paris the plane had to emergency land in Cleveland.   Where no one wanted to go of course.  Until  they seen men and the food- each episode kinda plays off of the plane crash.... so seeing a later one --  could lose some of the laughter.

Status: offline 		Yes, I watch hulu and a few other sites like it, freebies and yes, I put up with the ads. There are less & shorter ads than watching tv. I dont mind watching the funny ads.

There are some British shows on there that I loved but they are no longer in production and various other ones. I mostly like the detective action murder mystery types like Wire in the Blood, Life, Murder One, New Street Law, Raines, Ultimate Force, and some vampire and supernatural shows like Angel, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, American Gothic, Night Stalker, supernatural.. I like all that HGTV stuff too. I also watch NCIS, In Plain Sight, Justified, Body of Proof, various other current shows as they come out online.

I havent bothered getting a tv (gasp) so i just watch stuff on the internet.

I best make myself busy downloading the third series then. One of those shows that don't come along so often.

Same thing happens over here - prime time slots are taken up with the like of the X-Factor so you have to scrat around on the obscure channels for something decent.

Usually the decent stuff is from Sweden or Denmark - they make some excellent, gritty police dramas over there.
