Status: offline 		Legend of the Seeker was a series of books by Terry Goodkind (Sword of Truth series)... My son and I like to read series like these so we can discuss them together. Unfortunately I bought the entire series after reading Wizard's First Rule because I loved it. Unfortunately it was the best book of the series. Each book grew progressively worse. The reason for this is because Goodkind would have Richard pontificate for pages and pages at a time with Ayn Rand inspired drivel. I would skip entire passages in which half a chapter was nothing but ranting on and on about how evil charity is because it rewards people for being losers, whereas only exceptional people deserve to be happy. Richard and Kaylan are exceptional, only those like them are worthy of anything, and the rest of the world is just a bunch of loser haters. He also has a fascination for rape, which I found kinda tedious....

The series was much better than the books.

Does anyone remember a sort of adventure/comedy-drama called Going to California. It dates to around 2002 if I remember correctly - the issue of September 11th was in the background a lot. I thought it was really good. Its about two guys driving to California to try and find a friend who had disappeared off the map. It was stopped near the end of the story, presumably by the studios which was a shame. I thought it has something special besides the obvious, a good vibe.

Status: offline 		I often wonder on some shows what would have been if they had just one more season.  You know---  what could have been.    Then sometimes they completely ruin things by a reunion dud.

Status: offline 		Others have already mentioned several of my answers including: "The Wire," "Deadwood," and "Frasier." I would add "The L Word."
Once I began it, I watched all seasons, one after the other, instantly on Netflix. "Carnivale" is another I did the same thing with. I'm just now watching the first season of "Justified" on disc from Netflix and I'm loving it. I need to get "Sons of Anarchy" and "Breaking Bad" next. I know I'm forgetting some but I love Netflix instant watching and am always finding something. "Law and Order: SVU" is the one I watch most endlessly, much to Master's chagrin

Its not cancelled, per say- just long a long break. I would see bits and pieces when it came on, but i could never get into the story because of where i would come in at. somebody bought seasons 1 and 2 for me 2 months ago. i've since become obsessed with it.

i also became a huge fan of "the game".

it has been brought back from the dead since it had been bought by BET from CW and gained a huge following. the times it was given on the cw were horrid, i'm surprised it made it past season 1, let alone made it through 3.

it was easy for me to catch the show on BET due to it being on around 3 to 6, since by that time- i'm done all sessions/work/school related businees by then.

Status: offline 		I discovered "My name is Earl" after it was cancelled.

I love that show! It is quirky, lame, and funny as heck all rolled up in one.
I wish some shows could at least come back for a year on a lessor channel for those of us who missed it the first time and would like to see a conclusion.

Status: offline 		I really liked the concept of the show "Mental" which I only just discovered. It's a shame there was no chemistry - actors and actors? writing? I don't know, but it was a great idea that just didn't pan out. Same with Off the Map (although I happened to be in the USA when it was on, and I watched starting at the second episode while it was on).

Status: offline 		A friend of mine got me hooked on Jericho......it was on CBS (I think) for two seasons, and got cancelled, then the rights for it got picked up by Syfy.  I'm still waiting for them to do something with it, but I think that everyone in it has moved on to other things.

It was pretty good.....had Skeet Ulrich, Gerald McRaney as the protagonists, even tho Gerald's character was killed off.  It would have been great if Syfy did something with the show.

I also just bought all 4 seasons of My name is Earl.

I don't watch a lot of TV, most of what I watch is on dvd.  The only thing I really watch with any regularity is Food Network and *ahem* Nick at night.

Status: offline 		I definetly have! I still watch "Three's Company," when I land on it; re-runs of "Frasier," re-runs of "The Golden Girls," and on occasion, "Spencer for Hire/Cheers."

I also love re-runs of "Law and Order (any variation),"NCIS," and " The Closer..." Probaby, always will. M
