I look at data from a lot of independent sources. Remember, you can NEVER prove anything, you can only use Occam's Razor and pare away any other possible scenarios. The combination of the claims made with the data backing it up and the reactions from the rest of the world (ESPECIALLY our enemies) has Me convinced that OBL is DEAD.

Not just one claim. A claim and a HELL of a lot of supporting, verifiable data.

They can get Zawahiri the same way they got Bin Laden. By keeping the entire operation top secret until after it's carried out. Obama succeeded in catching Bin Laden because everyone involved kept their mouths shut.

Oh yeah,apparently they`re "shocked" to find out obl is on a ten acre mansion near a major city, just feet from their military academy.

I heard on NPR that it`s possible obl was only there a short time tho at that location.

That obl get`s,opps sorry,got help from some parts of the Pakistan government is without question.

The same applies in this case, no body, it was disposed of at sea, apparently, I do hope they took DNA or at least photographs, and after the heat of battle, no grainy ambiguous shots will do, for we all know the capabilities of a modern digital camera in the hands of even the most gruntiest of grunts for they sure manage to get pretty clear cell phone pics up onto the web, and youtube during operations.

Have you read any of the articles regarding the DNA testing that was done or facial recognition software that was used?

Your previous post proves to me what others are saying. If someone dumped his still warm louse infested corpse in your lap with his youngest wife still trying to wash it, you wouldn't believe.

Nope, you are wrong, given such a high profile result, one might have expected to see the aftermath well documented and shown to the world in glorious technicolour, imagery abound that would have been splashed across the world showing the prowess of American forces in finally getting their man. Who knows such scenes might have had a good effect on those terrorists and would be terrorists too. As to perhaps not wanting to endanger the identities of the operatives, well a well wrapped shemagh hides all but the eyes and desert goggles the rest, of which I am aware most regular forces in desert regions possess as standard kit.

But to be fair, perhaps imagery will come out in the next few days, as a picture often tells a thousand words and imagery many believe doesn't lie.

I heard on either NPR or the BBC that pictures were taken but not in general release because of the graphic and inflammatory nature of said pictures.

Aneirin, I agree it would have been better to show the body. If indeed they wanted to dispose of the body within 24 hours, it might not have been possible.

And I'm not "rejoicing", I see killing bin Laden as necessary. He explicitly stated destruction of the US was his goal. I think the "USA, USA" chanters were inappropriate.

I also agree I find it hard to believe NO ONE in Pakistan knew where he was.

People must stop suspecting everyone as being in league with terrorists simply because they share the same religion or come from the same part of the world. I do believe if one keeps a low enough profile and keeps out of conurbations, one may hide quite effectively, but yes, I do suspect some in government might have known, but then not everyone toes the official line.

But my concern is terrorism, although OBL might hve been the leader at one time, I do feel it has expanded beyond him now, and perhaps why he was hiding out, he was passed it.

But as to OBL'S body I am surprised it was not brought back to the US.

No, you don't understand the concept of burden of proof.

The proponent of a claim has that burden.

So........... I'll be waiting breathlessly for you to provide the proof of what you have just claimed.
