VaguelyCurious -> Do you actually rather like men? (5/6/2011 4:41:35 PM)

So, after the 'let's give multiple idiots multiple platforms to explain why they don't like whole subsections of the male population' debacle, let's be a bit more cheerful. Dominant, submissive, whatever - I quite like men, you know? For one thing, they can reach those pesky high shelves. I'm half an inch below average female height so I'm pretty standard for a woman, but men still come in particularly handy in bookshops and libraries. 'Please could you reach this book for me?' is the best pickup line I've ever found in my life (and I'm gutted that it doesn't work on women, because they're all shorter than me. Gah!) For another thing, they get to wear cologne instead of perfume. Cologne beats perfume any day. Women who wear cologne are my ultimate holy grail of 'guh', but a man with just enough cologne that you notice it when you hold him close (because of course his neck is conveniently situated at inhalation height)? Yeah, that's pretty good. And some men just have good-smelling sweat. It's all manly, and....yeah. You know what I mean. For a nother nother thing hey're warm. I have cold feet prettymuch all the time (as I type I am wearing two pairs of socks) and cold hands most of the time. I'm don't often feel cold myself, but I'm usually cool to the touch. Men, with their pesky lack-of-internal-reproductive-organs-that-need-constant-heating have more heat to spare elsewhere. Glorious, glorious heat that I can cuddle up to and steal. I appreciate that. So to sum up, the first three (tongue in cheek) things off the top of my head that I like about men are that they can reach stuff, some of them smell nice, and they're warm. Looking at that sentence, I've obviously focused on the physical - I'm guessing that's because all the emotional things I like about men also apply to women, and therefore don't count. Or maybe I'm just shallow and overly obsessed with the physical. Dunno. Those are some of the reasons I like men. How about you?
